Lovers Lane United Methodist Church

Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Loving ALL into relationship with Jesus Christ.
(312)

A guest speaker once told us that our congregation had the best name in Christendom: “Lovers Lane was named after a street, but should now understand itself to be named after the greatest lover the world has ever known—Jesus.”

Since moving to Northwest Highway, our sign has proclaimed unconditionally, “You Are Welcome.” We are a congregation committed to loving and welcoming in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sermon Series: Boundaries – Loving Without Losing Yourself – Traditional Worship

Jesus’ intentional withdrawal for prayer demonstrates that faithful ministry requires discernment and limitation. Boundaries become an expression of vocation rather than a failure of compassion.

Sermon Series: Boundaries – Loving Without Losing Yourself – Crosswalk

Jesus didn’t say yes to everything—and that’s actually good news. This week reframes boundaries as something that protects love instead of limiting it.

Our hearts continue to be with the families and businesses affected by the Oak Cliff explosion. We are grateful for the first responders, neighbors, churches, and community organizations who have stepped up to help.

Mission Oak Cliff has shared that they currently have the supplies they need, but financial support is still urgently needed to help provide ongoing assistance and recovery efforts for those impacted by this tragedy.

If you would like to help, please consider making a donation directly to Mission Oak Cliff at:

Please continue to keep everyone affected in your prayers as our neighbors begin the long journey of healing and rebuilding.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and give thanks for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We pray for all who grieve, for those who serve, and for God’s peace to guide us as people of faith.
