Yesterday, we proudly celebrated HBCUs as part of Black History Month honoring institutions that were birthed in times when education was not freely given to African Americans, yet faith, resilience, and determination made a way. Historically Black Colleges and Universities stand as a powerful testament to what God can do when His people refuse to give up on purpose and promise.

Throughout history, the church and education have gone hand in hand. HBCUs were often founded by people of faith who believed that knowledge, paired with God’s wisdom, could change generations. As Scripture reminds us, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7)

At True Believers, we believe in the importance of education and excellence. We are committed to pouring into our youth, setting godly examples, and creating pathways for them to follow. We know that when we invest in them, we are planting seeds that will grow far beyond today.

We celebrate the legacy, honor the struggle, and give God the glory for how far He has brought us.

Did someone say Church Christmas Party? After a long day of giving and blessing those in need, we came together to fellowship and what a time it was! We mixed, we mingled, and we shared in good, wholesome Christian fun. We were blessed to be a blessing, and in return our own spiritual souls were refreshed and filled. Thank you to our church family for the love, laughter, and unity shared. We pray you enjoyed your time. Happy Holidays from our church family to yours. ❤️🙏

As the holidays approach, we want to be a blessing to those who may not have everything they need.
The Word reminds us: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

On December 13th from 12–3 PM, True Believers Baptist Church will be hosting a Toy Drive in partnership with Toys for Tots.

If you know someone in need, please send them our way. Children must be present to receive a toy.
If you are sure you will be attending, please fill out the Google Form to help us assure toys are available.

Today, the True Believers family had the blessing of feeding and serving our Bridge family just as we’ve done every Sunday since May.
What started as a simple act of kindness has become one of the greatest blessings of our week. Being able to show love, share food, offer prayer, and simply be present has touched our hearts in ways we can’t even put into words.

Seeing the smiles, hearing the “thank yous,” and watching God move reminds us that service is ministry, and ministry is love in action. We are truly grateful for every opportunity God gives us to pour into others not just on Thanksgiving, but every Sunday.

To God be the glory for allowing us to be His hands and feet.
We’ll continue to show up, continue to serve, and continue to love.

Matthew 25:35–40 – “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat… whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Jesus tells us that serving others is serving Him.

Honoring Our Pastor & First Lady 💛
Today we celebrated two amazing servants of God a man and woman truly after God’s own heart. From Isaiah 42:1–9, we were reminded that change is coming and that God raises up His chosen to lead with love, wisdom, and strength.

Today, we speak words of affirmation over your lives:
May God continue to strengthen and refresh you both.

May His favor rest upon your ministry, your marriage, and your home.

May you continue to walk boldly in your divine calling as God ushers in the new things He has promised.

Pastor and First Lady, we see God’s hand upon your lives. You lead by example, pour into us selflessly, and walk with grace and humility. We are truly honored, blessed, and thankful to have you both. No amount of money or time could ever repay what you give to us. We love you and thank God for your faithful leadership the best is yet to come! 🙏

✨🙌 What an AMAZING day in the Lord! 🙌✨

Our youth showed up with power and purpose today! 💜 The theme was Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” 💪, and they boldly affirmed who they are in God.

They shared heartfelt testimonies of how God gives them strength in sports, family, and school, and we dare not forget how one pour out about WHAT FAITH MEANS TO HIM. They all did such a beautiful job affirming their identity in Christ. Pastor Rayford then poured into us with a mighty word, reminding us to make our faith personal and to keep our eyes focused on God.

And what a JOY it was to witness not one, but two baptisms! 🙏✨ One young soul dedicating themselves to Christ, and another surrendering fully to the Almighty. Truly, heaven rejoiced today!

God is moving mightily at True Believers, and we give all glory and honor to Jesus Christ alone. To Him be the praise forevermore! 🔥🙌
