⚾ Bases loaded, and Rev. Isaac JeRod Shepard brought it HOME.

That’s a wrap on Awesome August. He closed us out with “A Warning to the World” from Psalm 2, reminding us exactly who we serve.

Before He wore THIS crown, He wore THIS crown. The King of the Jews, King of the world, put on a crown of thorns and died for our rebellion, mine, yours, this entire world’s, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

But the story doesn’t end at the cross. He put the crown down… and He picked it back up. “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Grand slam finish, OCBF. Thank you for an incredible month.

“This Is Only A Sample”

Today we welcomed Pastor Dr. Tim Rivers to OCBF, and the Word was undeniable.

Preaching from Numbers 13:17-30, Pastor Rivers reminded us that God is so confident in what He offers that just a taste is enough to make us move anything out of the way and pay any price for the full portion.

If God gave you a sample, He’s got more waiting.

Today reminded us that our testimony was never about how strong or smart we are, it’s about how faithful God has been.

Grateful to have Brittany Meechel as our guest worship leader today; she led us into a beautiful time of worship.

And Pastor Myron Butler brought a word from Jude 1:24-25, pointing us back to the One who is able to keep us from falling and present us blameless with great joy.

Not because we held on perfectly. But because He never let go.

Rev. Gregory Holmes Jr. stepped up with a Word we needed: “Where’s Your Allegiance” — from Philippians 3:17-21.

Paul wasn’t asking us to imitate perfect people. He was asking us to imitate pursuit, people whose lives point toward righteousness in Christ, not toward the culture around them.

So take inventory: Who are you following? What are you chasing?
