Living Faith Covenant Church DFW

Living Faith Covenant Church DFW Living Faith Covenant Church is a new thinking, radically inclusive, trans-traditional and progressive church. This means that we question everything.

At Living Faith, we envision a world where God is glorified, praised and worshiped; relationships are strong and established on trust and commitment; love and respect are the primary driving forces of all behavior. New Thinking
At LFCC, we encourage our members to use the gift of reasoning, which God has given to each of us, when building our faith. We have found that it is in the questioning that

we are able to find truth. Additionally, we rely on the internal witness of the Holy Spirit of God to lead us to those answers of truth, as we believe the Holy Spirit to be the only final authority on all spiritual matters. So, we invite questions and different perspectives. They only serve to strengthen us in the long run. Radically Inclusive
We affirm that all people who receive Jesus the Christ as Lord and Savior are accepted as members of the Body of Christ, regardless of their background, culture, ethnic origin, race, ability, sexual or affectional orientation, or class. Thus, ALL people are welcomed to be an intricate part of the life of LFCC. Trans-Traditional
Though we maintain some traditions of the universal church, we are not afraid to venture into deep waters and try radically new things to find those to whom we are called to minister. Our tactics may be looked upon by traditional churches with skepticism and judged to be out-of-order or even sacrilegious. Nonetheless, we are reminded that Christ was looked upon in the same manner by the religious community of His day. Progressive
We are progressive in that we seek to keep pace with the times. We seek to utilize all forms of modern technology, culture, social events, etc. to share our message. Our agenda is to spread the Kingdom of God (righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost) into the world in which we now live and to put in place a system where the generations after us can do the same.

Our own Prophet Marvin T. Roberts conveyed a timely message yesterday..."We Are Still Walking In The Fire, But Unity Kept Us Together.”

Taken from Ephesians 4:2-3 and Daniel 3:4-5, 10-12//

"The fiery furnace is not just a story in Daniel. It's the world we're living in right now.

Policies that restrict us, human rights being challenged...

Women are fighting battles they shouldn't have to...

Immigrants are facing harsh policies and fear-based rhetoric...

Family resources are stretched, voices are silenced...

Social divisions that fracture our community...

The fire is hotter than ever!

The fire is real and the heat is rising.

The question is the same today as it was then...

Will you bow against your own beliefs or will we stand together??

UNITY IS GREATER!

The flames of injustice, inequality, and oppression rise around us, but unity begins with shared conviction.

The world tells us to bow to pressure, accept injustice, and be quiet.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood up to King Nebuchadnezzar, refusing to bow down.

How many of us stand in crowds, knowing what is being said or done is wrong, yet remain silent?

When you stand up for the right thing, God will send you the people you need to help you in the battle.

We need people in our lives who are willing to walk with us.

Stop making quick decisions because you see the fire in front of you!

Sometimes, when you do something 'in the moment', it's a permanent decision.

We become afraid of what the enemy brings to us.

But, you have to be willing to walk through the fire.

The fire is bigger than the situation, but God is even bigger!”

Yesterday, our own Bishop Alex D. Byrd shared a Sankofa message about the history of being Black and gay in Dallas, TX.

Sankofa is a Ghanian word, meaning to “go back and get it.”

Sankofa teaches that there's nothing wrong with looking back. In fact, it's necessary.

You can't build a meaningful future if you've forgotten where you come from.
