Our final installment from "The Art Glass of Highlands Christian Church" (From 2002 Pamphlet with interview with Craig Patton)

"...the cross over the chancel. It was not a part of the original committee's design responsibility. The cross was a memorial gift given by the Patterson family. It was not available when the church first began using the sanctuary for services. There was a cedar cross that hung there until the new cross was ready.

The cross has various pieces of bronze, yellow tinted glass and a lot of little white crystals into the design. The crystals represent the nails that nailed Jesus to the cross. The reason there are so many of them is that we all in some way are responsible for nailing Jesus to the cross ourselves..."
