CHRISTIAN CHAPEL TEMPLE OF FAITH! 🤍🔥
Yesterday’s service was powerful and impactful.
From high praise to a powerful Word, the presence of God met us at Temple of Faith!
What a beautiful Missionary Society Sunday! Our women were represented throughout the sanctuary in white, and we were blessed to welcome special guests who joined our Women’s Choir bringing together more than 40 voices, all in white, all with one purpose: to please and serve God.
And listen… they SANG! 🙌🏾
It was a high-praise worship experience from beginning to end. The kind of service where you don’t just watch worship happen, you become part of it.
Then came the WORD. 🔥 “MADE ROOM”
Pastor Freeman McKindra II challenged us to understand that making room is about much more than finding another seat in the sanctuary. It means making room in our hearts, our thinking, our ministry and our community.
A few notes we’re still carrying from Sunday:
✍🏾 “Community is not proven by how warmly we greet the people that’s already inside.”
✍🏾 “The question is, who’s standing outside the doors?”
✍🏾 “Before we can talk about growth as a church, we have to learn how to make room.”
And this one made us examine ourselves:
“We can’t call ourselves a Temple of Faith if somebody has to beg for dignity.”
Then Pastor drew a distinction that we won’t soon forget:
“Friendliness says, ‘We’re glad you came.’ Hospitality says, ‘We’ve already made a place for you.’”
And then:
“Friendliness shakes your hand at the door. But hospitality moves over at the table.”
THAT is the assignment.
Make room for the young and the old.
Make room for the wounded and the wandering.
Make room for the grieving and the growing.
Make room for those who know the hymns and those still learning how to pray.
Make room for those who have been here all their lives and the ones who just walked through the doors.
Because Pastor said it plainly:
“If Jesus made room, then the church has to make room.”
Sunday was high praise, powerful worship and a Word that challenged us to BE the church beyond Sunday morning.
Sunday reminded us that “making room” and “we’ve made room” isn’t simply a theme - it’s our assignment!
And at Temple of Faith…
