Bad news: You're a sinner.
Good news: Jesus is your advocate.
We've been reading through 1 John together, and this week's message cuts to the heart of our faith. "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves" (1 John 1:8). But here's the incredible truth—when we stand before God guilty as charged, Jesus doesn't make excuses for us. He steps between us and the Father, declaring that HE paid the price for every sin, every lie, every failure.
You don't stand on your own righteousness. You stand clothed in His. That's what makes Jesus the greatest advocate ever. He took the darkness of our sin so we could walk in His dazzling light.
Whatever that sin is that you think is too big—it's covered. Whatever shame you're carrying—He's already carried it to the cross. This is the reality of our faith, rooted in history and alive in your heart today.
