We were able to get together as a mission recently for a conference! It was so nice to be with each other to share our experiences, bear testimony, and feel the Spirit.

I’ve been reading this (Saints volume 1 on the gospel library app) for 30min- 1hr the last couple of days, and I’ve already learned so much. You hear stories of Joseph Smith all the time, but this book helps you really understand how uneducated this 14 year old farm boy was and he was just curious to know which church was the true church because all the preachers preached different things from the same Bible and he wanted to know which church he should join.
He read from James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” and went to the woods to pray out loud for the first time. He received a vision of Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ saying that the different churches had some truths, but none had the fullness.
Not many people believed him and said it was not possible to receive visions from the Lord anymore……….but why would an unchanging God stop guiding and directing us in this modern time?

I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fullness of the gospel and was restored to the earth by Joseph Smith. I also know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon that contained records of different civilizations who saw many miracles from God starting 600 years before Christ was born and testifies of Jesus Christ and his love for us.
