Scripture :
3:8-9(A)
8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings.9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.
Message:
3:8. 9(A) I People rob God by failing to tithe what Is rightfully His
(Lev. 27:30, 32). When they do not honor God with their lives, their
bodies. and their possessions severe spiritual-and sometimes
material and pnysical-- consequences result
Scripture:
3:10-12(B)
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
Message:
3:10-12(B)
God's offer to test me In this is the one instance in scripture where He permits His people to "prove" Him. When Christians honor God with their money and their commitments, God will pour out spiritual blessings and a protection (prevent pest from devouring) that He would not provide otherwise. Storehouse refers to a special room in the temple for keeping tithed items (1Kgs. 7:51; Neh. 10:38; 13:12).
(Is God house you first priority ?)
