Bible verse for 08-04-26

“I am as a wonder and surprise to many, but You are my strong refuge.” (Psalm 71:7)

My beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord, this confession was voiced by the Psalmist because God did the miraculous in his life. He declared that he became a wonder to many by God's deliverance of him from the hands of both his inner and outer enemies. He realized that God being his refuge and salvation, he became a wonder, astonishment, and a surprise to others. My brethren, God will make you a wonder to all your enemies for the Scripture says, “The people shall hear and be afraid: sorrow shall come upon the inhabitants of Philistia. Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed, and trembling shall come upon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitants of Canaan shall wax faint hearted.” (Exodus 15:14-15) The second statement of today’s Bible verse says, “but You (God) are my strong refuge,” meaning that for us to be a wonder and a surprise, we must make God Almighty our strong refuge/rock of salvation. The common saying, “this is an August visit,” means that the visitation of such a friend/relative is a surprise and a wonderful thing that happens. In like manner, God will visit us in such a surprising and wonderful way that we will become wonders to other people. This shall be our testimony this month of August. Henceforth we shall experience outstanding, astonishing, and surprising breakthrough, blessings, and security of the Lord at all times everyday from now on and forever. All people will see us and we will be wonders unto them, and they will fear and honor God who is our strong refuge.

I decree and declare that by His mercy and grace, God will:
⁃ be our strong refuge every moment;
⁃ visit us and all ours surprisingly for good this month;
⁃ give us outstanding miracles everyday and at all times;
⁃ make us and all ours wonders/mysteries to all peoples;
⁃ make our enemies to hear and see our wonderful/glorious lives;
⁃ make our enemies to fear and tremble by our wonderful lives; and
⁃ take glory and honor as He makes us and all ours wonders to all men at all times, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible verses for 7-09-2026

“For though the Lord is high, yet has He respect to the lowly [bringing them into fellowship with Him]; but the proud and haughty He knows and recognizes [only] at a distance.” (Psalm 138:6)

My brother and sister in the Lord, obviously humility is an essential and important virtue that should be taken seriously in our lives. In our hearts and daily living, humility should be the highest priority of our relationships with God and brethren. Beloved in the Lord, your humbleness gives you access to God and man as according to 1 Peter 5:5b that says, “…and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another [tie on the servant’s apron], for God is opposed to the proud [the disdainful, the presumptuous, and He defeats them], but He gives grace to the humble.” Apostle Peter is admonishing us--individually and collectively--as God's people to be humble at all times. Doing so pleases God, causing Him to pour out His grace on anyone who is humble. From today’s Bible verse, the Psalmist highlighted powerful much needed knowledge for us to have access to God, abide in His presence, and to have a relationship with Him. The Psalmist says that:
1. God has respect to the lowly (the humble); and
2. God brings the humble man into fellowship with Him.
He said God does the following to the proud and haughty man:
1. Knows him from a far (no relationship with him)
2. Recognizes him from distance (he has no access to God)
Let us remember Proverbs 16:5 that says, “Everyone who is proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; Be assured he will not go unpunished.”

I decree and declare that by His grace you and I will:
⁃ not be proud and arrogant in our hearts anymore;
⁃ not relate with others proudly and arrogantly anymore;
⁃ clothe ourselves with humility;
⁃ be humble before God and relate with others humbly always;
⁃ gain the respect of God by our humble living at all times;
⁃ have access to God and fellowship with Him at all times; and
⁃ always be graced and exalted by God in Jesus name, amen. 🙏🏾
