The biggest tragedy of the 21st-century Church is this: Jesus Christ has been displaced from both the pulpit and the pews.
When was the last time you heard the uncompromised gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed from the pulpit? When was the last time someone told you they went to church simply to know Jesus more and grow deeper in their relationship with Him?
We have allowed devotions, sermons, and church programs to focus on everything else—self-help, motivation, entertainment, and worldliness—except the only One who matters.
Scripture is clear: Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20), the Head of the Body (Colossians 1:18), and the only Name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). A church without Christ at the center is no church at all.
It is time for the Church to repent, strip away the distractions, and return to preaching Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2).
Jesus isn't a side note in His own Church. He is the entire message.
