Daily Devotional from Donald D. Beck, Pastor HMBC (Tuesday November 18, 2025)

Grace, good morning on this tremendous Transformative Tuesday.

When you learn to let things go, disappointments can't stop you, unfair people, how you were raised, bad breaks, you will keep rising higher seeing the goodness of God.

I've met people, I'm sure you have, that have been through things that have soured them rather than strengthen them. Don’t live your life bitter, angry, chip on your shoulder, stuck in life. The difference in holding on to hurt and letting it go, will be you living with delight, rather than depression.

You can't stop offenses from coming, but you can keep the poison from getting on the inside. When you bury negative emotions, they never die. You can't bottle up the anger, the hurt, the betrayal and think that's not going to affect you. “I can't let it go, they hurt me too badly". You're not doing it for their sake, you're doing it for your sake. That poison is contaminating your life. When you release it, you'll step into new levels of freedom, joy, and victory.

“Their anger is so strong that God will curse them. Their anger makes them do cruel things. So God will curse them. I will cause your descendants to divide from each other. They will live everywhere in the country of Israel.”

Genesis 49:7 EEB

Daily Devotional from Donald D. Beck, Pastor HMBC (Tuesday April 8, 2025)

Grace, good morning on this triumphant and transformative Tuesday.

Finishing grace will help you do what you cannot do alone. God has created you with the inward capacity to finish despite a flawed life. Continue to remind yourself, "I am strong in the Lord, full of energy, healthy; this is no match for me." If you tap into God's finishing grace, you can handle your troubles and trials. Maybe you're tempted to give up on a dream because things haven't turned out as planned. Life was going fine at first, but then you had some obstacles and started thinking, "It just wasn't meant to be." The truth of the matter is, the enemy doesn't try to stop you from starting; he's seen a lot of people start, and that doesn't bother him, but when you have a made-up mind, and you keep pushing forward, doing the right thing, taking new ground when he sees you getting closer, he'll work overtime to try to keep you from finishing.

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: my strength is perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will most gladly glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV

Live, love, and laugh through this terrific and thankful Tuesday!

Daily Devotional from Donald D. Beck, Pastor HMBC (Monday April 7, 2025)

Grace, good morning on this marvelous and meaningful Monday.
When you're tempted to get discouraged, give up on a dream, relationship, project, you have to remind yourself, "I was not created to give up, quit, I was created to finish. You've got to shake off the discouragement, self-pity, what somebody said. If you will keep moving forward in faith, honoring God, you will come into a strength that you didn't have before, a force pushing you forward; that's finishing grace, that's God breathing in your direction, helping you to become who He created you to be. This grace is available, but you have to tap into it; it's not going to do you any good if you sit around in self-pity thinking about how difficult it is, what didn't work out, who did you wrong, "my college professor, he's so hard, I'll never pass his course": no, you have the grace to finish. Don't allow the enemy to lure you into talking defeat, start talking victory; "I can do all things through Christ our Lord."
"With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don't hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort."
1 Corinthians 15:58 MSG
Live, love, and laugh through this moving and magnificent Monday!

14th Pastoral Aniversary Service Sunday, April 13, 2025

A word from Donald D. Beck, Pastor HMBC

My wife Annice Beck and I would like to invite each of you to come and share with us as we prepare to celebrate 14 years of ministring with our church family at the Homeland Street M.B.C. The celebration will begin on at 11:00 a.m. Our guest speaker for the morning Anniversary service is Pastor T.W. Oliver of the Hour of Power Outreach Ministry of Fort Worth, Texas. The afternoon service will begin on Sunday April 13, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Pastor Patrick Turner of the Mount Moriah B.C. of Fort Worth, Texas. This year we are doing something different in our celebratory worship service. Since this years Pastoral Anniversary falls on the Second Sunday (Youth Sunday) our youth will be in full control of the program. We are expecting great things from them on that Sunday. Let us come together in love and support of our Youth Ministry as they help our church celebrate my wife and I. Thank you to Homeland for all the love you have poured on both me and my family all of these years.

Thank you,
Donald D. Beck, Pastor HMBC

An inspirational word from Donald D. Beck, Pastor Homeland Street M.B.C. (Sunday, April 4, 2025 at 3:11 a.m.)

I know that life and all that it intells can become so overwhelming that we get broad sided by the struggle to make it through the day. However, let us all remember that there would be no day to struggle through were it not for God. So let us not forget that God is worthy of not only praise but he is equally worthy of our thanks. So take some time this morning to begin to tell the Lord thank you for each and everytyhing he has done for you since waking up this morning. And remember to smile as you think about what the Lord hs done for you. I'll start it off for you....He woke me up this morning (thank you, Lord). He allowed me to see a day I had never seen before (thank you, Lord). He Allowed me to see with my eyes (thank you, Lord). He allowed me lungs to pump air (thank you, Lord)..................Now you continue from here my brother and my sister with what all you wooulld like to thank the Lord for.

Isaiah 12:4-5 (NASB) And on that day you will say, "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted." Praise the LORD in song, for He has done glorious things; let this be known throughout the earth.
