Christian Life Institute Our Vision: At the Christian Life Institute, we have a burden, a calling, and a passion for transformative growth in Christ, Jesus.

Our burden is to provide a road map for spiritual formation for those who profess faith in Jesus Christ.

Worry is rarely just a thought. It’s a knot in the stomach, a racing heart, a body bracing for impact - the HPA axis and sympathetic nervous system doing exactly what they were designed to do under threat.

The trouble is that the mind and body feed each other: the body panics about the panic, and the loop has no natural exit on its own.

So many of us try to break that loop the same way - by gripping tighter. We watch every variable, manage every outcome, and believe that if we just control enough of the picture, the anxiety will finally quiet down.

But control was never the same thing as wisdom, and the illusion of control almost always feeds the very worry it’s trying to extinguish rather than quenching it.

Continue reading here:

Worry cannot be quieted by controlling every outcome. Discover the wise, prayerful shift from carrying it all yourself to releasing it into God’s stronger hands.

Recognize Your Own Humanness: Lay Down the Perfectionism and Works-Based Theology

It happens like the strike of a match. The instant you realize you got it wrong—a poor choice, a bad decision, a moment you wish you could take back—a wave of self-reproach ignites almost before you notice it. Our first feeling is anger at ourselves, manifesting as heat, restlessness, or a knot in the stomach. The instinctual response is to demand more of ourselves: try harder, do better, and never mess up again.

Yet, we must recognize a fundamental truth that dismantles the very core of perfectionism and works-based religion: self-condemnation was never the doorway to change; Christ is.

Monday Re-Frame Moment: "Loving Through Christ"
What does it mean to truly love as Christ loves us?

In this week’s Re-Frame Moment, Dr. Kate explores "The Love of the Father Is Our Love," reminding us that Christ-centered love is more than a feeling—it is an intentional, self-giving choice empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Through Scripture and practical reflection, Dr. Kate challenges us to consider how we can release resentment, cultivate the fruit of the Spirit, forgive, and actively serve others—even those who may be difficult to love.

Take five minutes to re-frame your understanding of love and consider how God’s love can flow through you to those around you.

It happens like the strike of a match. The instant you realize you got it wrong—a poor choice, a bad decision, a moment you wish you could take back—a wave of self-reproach ignites almost before you notice it. Blame is our inheritance in the flesh, keeping score of our failures and locking us into a cycle of self-condemnation.

Yet, the voice that keeps score of your failures is not the Father's voice. His voice offers grace upon grace, declaring that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

What if waiting isn't wasted time?

In our latest video Re-Frame Moment, Dr. Kate invites us to look differently at one of the hardest parts of our walk with Christ: waiting on God.

When we're facing uncertainty, it's easy to move toward fear, worry, self-reliance, or the desire to control the outcome. But what if waiting could instead become a posture of trust—a place where we learn to rest in God's sovereignty, faithfulness, and perfect understanding?

In this five-minute encouragement, Dr. Kate explores how we can re-frame waiting as an opportunity to abide in Christ, renew our strength, and cultivate hope.

When life throws uncertainty, disappointment, or friction our way, our internal system reacts instantly. Like the strike of a match, a wave of emotion ignites almost before we notice it: a knot in the stomach, heat, restlessness, or a sudden surge of self-reproach. Before we know it, we find ourselves swept up and swept away by our feelings.

But feelings were never meant to be the driver of our lives. Uncomplicating our spiritual walk requires learning to detangle ourselves from the heavy, exhausting overattachment we often place on our fluctuating emotional states.

When life throws uncertainty, disappointment, or friction our way, our internal system reacts instantly. Like the strike of a match, a wave of emotion ignites almost before we notice it: a knot in the stomach, heat, rest...

We are excited to announce Re-Frame: The Path Forward. It is a Zoom meeting journey designed to help women go deeper in an intimate, personal, and transformative relationship with Christ through spiritual formation and discipleship.

The Path Forward is a guided seven-module journey that builds upon each step, creating space for spiritual growth, healing, reflection, and meaningful community. Participants will be placed in small groups led by women who have previously completed Re-Frame: The Journey, providing encouragement, accountability, and a place to process and apply what they are learning along the way.

Whether you are just beginning your journey of discipleship or have been walking with Christ for years, The Path Forward welcomes you wherever you are.

We encourage participants to commit to the full journey so they can experience the progression of the seven modules while building meaningful relationships within their small groups.

Visit the registration page to learn more and sign up.

And please spread the word! This opportunity is open to women from anywhere, and we would love for you to share the registration link with friends, women's groups, churches, and anyone who may be seeking a deeper walk with Christ.
