🛡️ DAY 1 — “Recognize the Battle”
Theme: Battle Ready Brethren
📖 Theme Scripture: Galatians 6:1

Good morning MwN Family…
As we prepare for our Men’s Retreat beginning tomorrow, we do so under the powerful theme: “Battle Ready Brethren.” And our foundation is found in Galatians 6:1, which reminds us that when a brother is overtaken in a fault, those who are spiritual must restore him in a spirit of meekness. That means this retreat is not about perfection—it’s about preparation and restoration. It’s about men coming together, not pretending we don’t struggle, but recognizing that we are in a battle—and we don’t have to fight it alone. Too many men are walking around wounded, weary, and worn, still trying to act like everything is alright… but God is calling us to something deeper.

Because the Word declares in Ephesians 6:12 that we wrestle not against flesh and blood… which means what you’re dealing with ain’t always what you see. Some battles are spiritual. Some struggles are internal. Some fights don’t make noise—but they take strength every single day. And if we’re honest, many brethren have mastered the art of hiding the battle while slowly losing the fight. But God didn’t call us to ignore it—He called us to stand in it. That’s why the Word says, “having done all… to stand” (Ephesians 6:13). Stand when you’re tired. Stand when you’re tested. Stand when you feel like giving up. Because being battle ready doesn’t mean you won’t face the fight—it means you’re equipped to endure it.

I can hear Miss Nancy say, “Son… stop acting like you’re not in a fight—and start preparing like you are.” As we move toward tomorrow, let this be your charge: recognize the battle before you—but don’t forget the God who stands with you. This retreat is not casual… it’s strategic. God is about to open your eyes, strengthen your spirit, and surround you with brothers who will help restore, uplift, and stand with you. Brethren, the battle is real—but so is our God. So lift up your head, square your shoulders, and brace your heart… get ready, my brother—because we’re not just showing up, we’re stepping in locked in, prayed up, and preparing to stand as Battle Ready Brethren!

DAY 2 — THE OIL COMES BEFORE THE OFFICE
Scripture Focus: 1 Samuel 16:12–13 (NKJV)

Good morning, MwN Family!
Let me testify for just a moment. I can remember as a 16-year-old boy, standing before God and His people, when the oil was poured and I was anointed to preach the Gospel. The call was real. The oil was real. The Spirit came—just like the text says about David. But if you know my story, you know I didn’t step straight into a pulpit with a title. I stepped into a whirlwind called life, living without conditions, learning lessons the hard way. And here’s the shout—I didn’t know it then, but even in my living, God was preparing me for ministry.

David was anointed in the field, but he didn’t walk straight to the throne. The oil flowed in 1 Samuel 16, but the crown came much later. Why? Because God anoints before He appoints. The promise will excite you, but the process builds you. That’s where Romans 5:3–4 comes alive—tribulation produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. God was shaping David in fields, caves, and waiting seasons. And just like that, God was shaping me—through missteps, maturity, and moments of mercy.

I can hear Miss Nancy plain as day saying, “Son, don’t rush to sit down where you ain’t ready to stand.” God knows premature promotion can crush an unprepared heart. So He lets you feel the call early, taste the oil, hear heaven whisper your name—then He walks you through life to strengthen your faith, steady your character, and deepen your dependence on Him. Waiting ain’t punishment—it’s protection.

So my brothers and sisters, if you’re anointed but still waiting, rejoice! The oil has already flowed. The Spirit has already come. What God spoke over your life is still true. He’s guarding your promise from your impatience and preparing you to stand in what He’s promised, not just step into it.
Hold on. Stay humble. Trust the timing.
God is still working the process—and the process is working for you.

📢 TIME TO RE-LAUNCH ⛵

Good morning MWN family! In today’s Morning with Nancy devotional, I want to speak of the opportunity God has given us to re-launch our situation. This morning, we’re diving deep into a powerful scripture where Jesus tells Peter, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch” (Luke 5:4). Pastor Isaac Williams (Greater True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, Pensacola, Fl.) delivered a compelling message during our Holy Convocation service, reminding us that even when we think we’ve mastered our craft, God is still calling us to step out of our comfort zones. It’s time to embrace a fresh perspective and try a different approach.

Often, we find ourselves in routines that we believe define our success. Peter, a seasoned fisherman, had fished all night without a catch, yet when Jesus—a humble carpenter—gave him instruction, he responded with, “Nevertheless, at Your word, I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5). This moment speaks to the heart of faith and obedience. No matter how skilled we are in our own understanding, we must remember that God sees the bigger picture. We must be willing to acknowledge His wisdom and trust Him when He asks us to cast our nets in new waters.

So MwN family, as we enter this season of re-launching, let’s be bold in our faith! Let’s step out into deeper waters where God is leading us—whether it’s in our personal lives, careers, or ministries. It might feel uncomfortable, but it is in these moments where we will encounter the abundant blessings that God has in store for us! Together, let’s embrace this divine invitation to transform our situations and experience His overflow. Remember, with God’s direction, our nets will be filled! ❤️🙏🏽✨
