🌅 IT’S NOT HOW YOU GOT IN… IT’S HOW YOU GET OUT!
📖 Genesis 15:13–14 (KJV)
“And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.”
Good morning, MwN Family!
Last night, Archbishop McCombs reminded us of a life-changing truth: your story is not defined by how you entered your struggle but by how God brings you through it. Israel entered Egypt because of a famine, but they left by the mighty hand of God. God had already revealed to Abraham that bo***ge would come before breakthrough. That reminds us that God’s promises often include preparation, testing, and waiting before fulfillment. Whatever season you find yourself in today, don’t become discouraged by how you got there. Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust His Word over your circumstances, and remember that God is already planning your exit while you’re still learning in your entrance.
The Archbishop also challenged us to stop making life about ourselves and return our focus to Christ. The church shines brightest when it naturally exalts Jesus. Our worship, our giving, our gratitude, and our daily obedience become a testimony that the world cannot ignore. Every breath we take is a gift from God. Every victory we experience is evidence of His grace. Instead of asking God merely for more possessions, let us thank Him for His presence, His strength in our weakness, His comfort in sorrow, and the unspeakable joy found in salvation. When Christ is lifted up, our circumstances no longer become our identity—His faithfulness does.
As you go through this day, remember that God never promised you would avoid every trial, but He did promise you would not remain there forever. The same God who prepared Abraham, delivered Israel, and raised Jesus from the grave is still leading His people today. So don’t waste your energy dwelling on who stumbled or how difficult the journey has been. Fix your heart on the God who specializes in bringing His children out. It may not matter how you got into the valley—but it will matter that you trusted God all the way out.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the God who not only walks with us through difficult seasons but also brings us out according to Your perfect plan. Help us keep our eyes on Jesus, trust Your promises above our circumstances, and honor You with our lives.
Let our worship, our gratitude, and our obedience point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
