A lot of people carry questions like:
“Why is this taking so long?”
“Did I mess things up?”
“Can anything good still come from this?”

The story of Joseph reminds us that even in seasons that feel hidden, delayed, or uncertain…
God hasn’t forgotten us.
And maybe your story isn’t finished yet either.

One of the hardest things about life is that we usually understand it backwards.
Joseph probably couldn’t see purpose in the pit.
Or prison.
Or the waiting.
But sometimes God is still working in places that feel confusing, unfair, or unfinished.
Just because you can’t see the full picture yet doesn’t mean your story has lost its purpose.
Known by God. Made for More.

(See Genesis 37-40 for more)

Not perfection. Not arrival. Just ordinary people continuing to offer God their next "yes."

06/01/2026

Today was one of those Sundays that reminds us why we do what we do.

We celebrated baptisms, family dedications, new church members, graduations, and so many stories of people continuing to take their next step with Jesus.

Over the past few weeks, we've been following Joseph's story and were reminded again today that God was with Joseph through every season—through the pit, the prison, and the palace. Joseph simply kept saying "yes" to God, and God kept writing the story.

That's what we celebrated today.

Not perfection. Not arrival. Just ordinary people continuing to offer God their next "yes."

Watching this community become a group of friends on mission has been incredibly inspiring. People with their eyes open to what God is doing around them. People choosing to live sent. People discovering that they are known by God and made for more.

To every person who took a next step today—thank you for letting us celebrate with you.

God is still writing stories, and we're grateful to be part of them together.
❤️

Joseph’s brothers tried to strip away his identity.
They took the robe.
They threw him in a pit.
They sold him like he had no value. (Genesis 37)

But your identity was never meant to rest in what people do to you.
You are known by God.
Not forgotten.
Not discarded.
Not unseen.
And what God says about your life is still true —
even when the season you’re in says otherwise.

Have you ever had a moment where you later realized:
“God was working…even when I couldn’t see it at the time”?

(Actually, you may still be in that season now.)

One of the most powerful lines in Joseph’s story (Genesis) comes after everything falls apart:

“The Lord was with Joseph.”

Not when life got easier.
Not when he understood the plan.
Not after things worked out.
God was with him in Egypt.
In the confusion.
In the waiting.
In the loneliness.

Sometimes the holiest thing you can remember is this:
God is still with you in places you never wanted to be.
