Established in 2002, Shepherd’s Refuge is a non-denominational, non-profit ministry dedicated to serving the needs of pastors, full-time church staff in leadership positions, and missionaries. One of the perfect examples why we do what we do:

I'm hoping my time away will allow me to restore some energy and joy, which I feel are lacking right now - not fair to my congregation and definitely not fair to God! However, the church is smaller, and funding is difficult to obtain - especially in the case of having someone to cover the pulpit and pastoral care needs while I am away, and for me to travel and stay somewhere using my own limited budget. This gift you have offered is truly priceless!”
Pastor E.K. PREVENT BURN-OUT: The focus of our ministry is to provide our guests a relaxing non-intrusive environment, free from the demands of everyday life. Located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, near Dahlonega, Shepherd’s Refuge provides an opportunity to those in ministry to:

- Deepen marriage relationships
- Regain physical strength
