Today was an important day as our NextGen Children's & Student Building continues to rise. Footings have been dug are being prepared for concrete to be poured next week and a foundational concrete slab to take shape over them.

For the past two weeks, our members have been signing five different Bibles, with praises, prayers, and favorite scriptures.

Today, each of those Bibles were buried within what will be the foundations of our new building. This building represents a passionate commitment from Dahlonega Baptist Church to invest toward reaching and discipling the next generation of families in our community and beyond. This building will rise upon and be anchored "literally" to God's Word as all 5 Bibles are now part of its foundation.

As we prepare to begin a new school year, we are especially thankful for the incredible teachers God has placed in our Weekday Preschool.

Today, we pray blessings over each of them as they prepare their classrooms and their hearts to welcome our students.

May God give them patience for the hard moments, joy in the little moments, wisdom as they teach, and grace for each new day. May their classrooms be filled with laughter, learning, kindness, and most importantly, the love of Jesus.

We pray that each teacher remembers the incredible impact they have—not only in teaching little minds, but in helping shape little hearts. May they see each child through God’s eyes and recognize every conversation, hug, story, song, and prayer as an opportunity to plant a seed.

Lord, protect our teachers, strengthen them, encourage them, and remind them that the work they are doing matters.

Here’s to a beautiful new school year filled with opportunities to Connect. Worship. Grow. Serve.

So THANKFUL for our DBC Family, ESPECIALLY everyone of our members who have stepped up to help with safety, security, and parking help as we navigate our ongoing construction.
Thank you Kurt Fricton (and all who served today) for an amazing job this morning & thank you DBC members and guests for your Patience, Flexibility, and Grace toward sacrificial parking today.

DBC Family,
Please note the following information for parking at DBC for tomorrow's Sunday services and beyond.
After careful conversation and consideration between our Church leadership, SOA Construction, and our Building Committee, we have reached the difficult decision to close access to the lower parking lot for the remainder of the construction project. Beginning this Sunday, August 9 on-site parking will be limited to the upper parking lot only. Additional parking will be available in the city lots, upper and lower, directly across the street from the church at our east entrance. City parking is also available in the parking lot across from Shenanigans on Chestatee St.
We realize this is an inconvenience, but due to continued placement of construction materials and the expansion of the construction site footprint, there are liability risks moving forward. There will also be continued debris in the parking lot, which will pose a risk to cars parking there as well as foot traffic.
Thank you in advance for your patience, flexibility, and grace! We are asking your continued help in that, if you are able to do so, please park sacrificially so that we may continue to allow upper parking for our seniors and guests.
While this is a challenge, Dahlonega Baptist Church is no stranger to rising to meet challenges. Just remember that the sacrifices we make today are for an incredible building and facility tomorrow.

Today we continue to join administrators, teachers, and staff in all our schools as the new school year begins. We come along side to pray for the precious gift of our Next Generation: countless children and students.

We are excited to welcome everyone back to Wednesday Night Meals & Activities at Dahlonega Baptist Church beginning tomorrow evening, August 5! Wednesday Night Supper will be served at 5:00 p.m., followed by Children’s B3, Adult Bible Studies and Discipleship, ESL, and Dahlonega Students Youth Bible Study from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Choir Practice at 6:30 pm.

Because of ongoing construction, the church’s rear parking lot is closed. On-campus parking is available in the front lot only, with additional parking available in the city lots at Chestatee and Park Streets and Chestatee and Warwick Streets. All participants should enter through the main or side entrances at the front of the church, as rear entry doors are inaccessible and designated for emergency exit only. Those who are able should use the West Side Stairwell to reach the Fellowship Hall, while those needing the elevator should use the back hallway when entering the lower level.

Thank you for your continued patience, flexibility, and grace as we navigate construction together. We look forward to gathering again for a wonderful evening of fellowship, discipleship, and ministry for all ages!

DBC Church Family, as we continue to adjust to the ongoing construction of our NextGen Children & Youth Building, WE NEED YOUR HELP...Please join us in remembering Patience, Flexibility, and Grace as we move forward. Each week, parking will be a challenge, but it is doable as long as we all pay attention and work together. The parking on the lower lots will be limited this week due to the arrival of our Building Foundation footprint, along with continued debris and equipment arriving on the West end of the parking lot and building. Please enter through the west access door only (see attached image), and please observe all marked-off areas when parking. We will have several of our Deacons and members in the parking lot to direct and help.
Also, please help us by observing "Sacrificial Parking" if you are able. Parking is available in the City Lots across from the church. There are two lots, one paved (upper) and one grass (lower), with easy access to the church campus. This will help provide parking for our seniors and guests.

Remember, these are exciting times at DBC! Together We Build...Together We Grow!
