This week at Lake Community Church, Jesus gave us one word that sums up what it looks like to love Him:

“Guard.” “If anyone loves me, he will guard my word.” — John 14:23

Not skim it. Not occasionally open it. Guard it — the way you protect something you cannot afford to lose.

This week’s Faith in Action challenge is simple: pick one way to guard the Word this week and actually do it.

Read John 14 every day. Let it become familiar ground.
Memorize John 14:23. Write it. Say it. Own it.
Every time you open your Bible this week, ask first: “God, what do You want to say to me?” Then listen before you rush.
