Have you ever wanted to talk to God but felt too ashamed of your past?

Maybe you've made decisions you regret. Maybe you've struggled with something you promised yourself you'd never do again. Maybe you've hurt people you love. Maybe you've spent years carrying guilt, shame, addiction, or brokenness.

And somewhere along the way, you started believing that God wouldn't want to hear from someone like you. But that's exactly why Jesus came.

Yesterday, Pastor reminded us that through Jesus Christ, we have direct access to our Heavenly Father. Not because we're perfect. Not because we've earned it. Not because we've managed to fix everything that's broken.

Because Jesus paid the price for our sin.

The cross reminds us that our failures do not have to be the end of our story. And God's grace invites us to stop hiding and begin walking toward healing.

Tonight at 7:00 PM, The Way Out gathers at Lake Community Church.

This is a Christ-centered recovery ministry where you can find encouragement, community, biblical truth, and hope through Jesus Christ.

You don't have to pretend you're doing fine.
You don't have to have everything figured out.
You don't have to wait until you've cleaned up your life.
Come as you are. Come ready to take the next step.
Because the God who knows your past is the same God who offers forgiveness and new life through Jesus.

If God created us to know Him, shouldn't we make knowing Him a priority?

Yesterday, Pastor Chad reminded us that the Creator of the universe wants a personal relationship with each of us. Not just religious activity. Not just information about God. A genuine, growing relationship with Him.

And one of the greatest ways we develop that relationship is by spending time in His Word and growing alongside other believers.

Tonight at Lake Community Church, we have three opportunities to do exactly that!

Here's What We Want You to Remember: You don't have to know everything about God to begin knowing Him more. You don't have to be a Bible expert. You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to have been attending for years.

Just come ready to learn, grow, and build relationships centered on Jesus Christ.
Pastor challenged us Sunday to invest our time in what matters eternally. What better investment could you make tonight than growing in God's Word and encouraging other believers?

When was the last time you talked to God without asking Him for something?

Not because something was wrong. Not because you needed a miracle. Not because you were afraid. But simply because you wanted to spend time with Him.

Yesterday, Pastor challenged us with a truth that should change the way we approach every day: The Creator of the universe wants to have a personal conversation with you.

In John 17:1, Jesus lifted His eyes toward heaven and said: “Father…” One word.

No elaborate introduction. No religious performance. Just a Son speaking to His Father. And through Jesus Christ, we have been invited into that same kind of personal relationship with God. But relationships require time.

We make time for work. We make time for our phones. We make time for television, social media, and everything else competing for our attention. Are we making time for the One who created us? Pastor Chad reminded us that time is one of the most valuable gifts God has given us. And every day, we decide what we're going to do with it.

🌱 THIS WEEK'S FAITH IN ACTION CHALLENGE: “FATHER, CAN WE TALK?” — 10 MINUTES A DAY

For the next seven days:
🙏 Begin with one word: Father.
❤️ Speak honestly: Tell Him what's happening in your life.
📖 Open His Word: Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and apply what you read.
🤫 Make room to listen: Slow down and reflect on what Scripture reveals.
🚶 Walk with Him: Invite God into the ordinary moments of your day.

You don't have to pray perfectly. You don't have to use someone else's words. You simply need to begin. And here's something important: Don't measure the success of your prayer time by how much you said. Measure it by whether you genuinely sought your Father.

If the Creator of the Universe Wanted to Talk With YOU?

He does.

And yesterday, Pastor Chad reminded us of something so extraordinary that we should never take it for granted. In John 17:1, Jesus begins one of the most remarkable prayers recorded in Scripture.

He lifts His eyes toward heaven and begins with one word: “Father.”

Think about that. The One who created everything wants us to know Him personally. Not simply know facts about Him. Not just attend church, follow religious traditions, or listen to someone else tell us what God is saying.

He wants a relationship with YOU.

Through Jesus Christ, we have been given direct access to our Heavenly Father.
And yet, how often do we go through an entire day without intentionally talking with Him?

How often do we make time for everything else but neglect the One who gave us our time in the first place?

Pastor challenged us to reconsider what prayer really is. Prayer isn't a religious performance. It's personal communion with God. You don't need perfect words. You don't need to have your entire life figured out. You don't need to wait until Sunday. And you don't need someone else to approach God for you.

Jesus made the way.

Now the invitation is yours. “Father, can we talk?”

Come With What You Know * Tomorrow morning, we'll gather again.
But before Sunday gets here, take a moment today and remember what God has already shown you.

Last Sunday challenged us to identify one thing we know about God.

Maybe this week you've been standing on: God is good.
Maybe it's: God loves me.
Or: God has been merciful to me.

His grace is enough. He knows what I don't know. Jesus has overcome the world.

You may still have unanswered questions tomorrow morning. Bring them.

You may have had a difficult week. Come anyway.

You may be carrying something you don't know how to fix. Bring that too.

You don't have to walk through the doors tomorrow pretending you've figured everything out.

Come ready to worship the God who already knows.
Come ready to hear His Word.
Come ready for the Holy Spirit to reveal truth.
Come ready to encourage someone beside you.
And come expecting God to continue showing us who He is.

Before you go to bed tonight, pray: “Holy Spirit, prepare my heart. Show me what You want me to see, teach me what You want me to know, and help me live what You reveal.”

👉 Action: Pray for tomorrow's service tonight. Then lay out your Bible, invite someone to come with you, and make the decision now that Sunday begins with worship.

Someone You Know Needs This Truth * Think about the people God has placed around you.

Someone you know is carrying something heavy right now.
Someone is worried about what happens next.
Someone is trying to make sense of circumstances they never expected.
Someone is wondering where God is in the middle of their trouble.
And maybe they need the same truth Pastor Chad reminded us of Sunday:

You don’t have to understand everything about God to trust what He has already revealed about Himself.

Jesus told His disciples: “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

Jesus didn't promise us a life without trouble. He promised us His peace in the middle of it.

This Sunday, you have an opportunity to bring someone with you who needs to experience that hope. Don't assume they'll say no. Don't wait for someone else to invite them.

A simple text could be the beginning of something God uses to change a life:
“Hey, would you come to church with me Sunday? I'll save you a seat.”

We've been adding chairs at LCC because God keeps bringing people. Maybe one of those chairs is waiting for someone you are supposed to invite.

👉 Action: Stop scrolling for a moment. Think of one person, pray for them, and send the invitation today.

Don't Just Know It. Stand on It. * There's a difference between knowing something about God and actually building your life on it.

We can say: “God is good.”
But what happens when life isn't?

We can say: “God knows everything.”
But what happens when we can't see what's coming?

We can say: “God is merciful.”
But what happens when our past starts accusing us again?

We can say: “God's grace is enough.”
But what happens when we feel like we're not enough?

That's when what we know has to become what we live.

Sunday, reminded us that the disciples had become convinced of one truth about Jesus: He knows everything.

They didn't understand everything else. They didn't need to. They had something true to stand on. Today, don't simply say you believe God is good.

Trust His goodness. Don't simply say God knows everything.
Trust Him with what you don't know. Don't simply say God is merciful.

Stop allowing a forgiven past to define you.

Don't simply say His grace is sufficient. Quit trying to carry in your strength what He has asked you to surrender to His.

And when trouble comes, remember what Jesus said: “In Me you may have peace…be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

That's where Sunday's message moves from something we heard to something we live.
