📖 Monday in the Word

A new week is here, and yesterday’s message, “Tempting Peter,” gives us something to carry with us.

Temptation doesn’t always look like something obviously wrong. Sometimes it can sound like our own thoughts, desires, fears, or even our best intentions. Peter thought he knew what was best—but Jesus reminded him to look beyond his own understanding and trust God’s way.

As we step into this new week, let’s take a moment to ask ourselves:

What is tempting me to put my way before God’s way?
Where is Jesus asking me to pause, listen, and follow Him instead?

We may not know every step ahead, but we can trust the One who does. ❤️

🙏 Lord, help us recognize temptation, trust Your way more than our own, and follow You faithfully this week. Amen.

Some of the sweetest moments happen after the “Amen.” ❤️

This Sunday, after worship, we gathered around the table for our First Sunday Luncheon—sharing good food, laughter, stories, and the kind of fellowship that makes a church feel like home.

To make the day even sweeter, we celebrated National Ice Cream Day with ice cream bars! 🍦 There were plenty of smiles, happy hearts, and reminders that even the simplest moments spent together become treasured memories.

At First Presbyterian Church of Dade City, we believe that faith grows not only in the sanctuary but also around the lunch table, through conversations, friendships, and caring for one another.

If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be greeted by name, welcomed with open arms, and treated like family, we’d love to have you join us.
