A group of Brothers and Sisters in Christ came together for the first time on September 27, 2015. For a lack of an official name, we called our group “Worship in the Barn”. It’s not really a barn, it’s a very nice metal building, donated for our use by the Ringo Family, to whom we are very grateful! We are now “Family of God Baptist Church”. However, you will continue to see “The Barn” and “Worshi
p in the Barn” referred to often. We feel if Jesus could be born in a stable, we could be born in a barn! We will always be grateful for the “Barn” and our humble beginnings in the “Barn”. God is on the Move... The Lord has blessed us abundantly and we are growing daily! After expanding the original “Barn” to accommodate the numbers, land was donated by the Hall family, a building fund was established and plans were drawn up. The fund grew very quickly, and on January 27, 2019 there was a groundbreaking celebration for the new bigger “Barn” being built on Old Lakeland Hwy in Dade City. On Sunday, July 19, 2020 the first service was held at the new “Barn”. We invite you to worship with us on Sundays at 10:30 AM at the new location, 10331 Old Lakeland Hwy, Dade City, about 1/2 mile north of US 98. Masks are required for inside seating. We will have chairs outside the building for those who prefer not to go inside. The air conditioner will be on and the windows open for ventilation. If you are not comfortable coming to the church or you don’t feel well, we would love to have you join us LIVE on Facebook! Come in the front door—all three doors are used to exit. Masks are provided or bring your own, sanitizer and offering buckets are at the exits. We are cleaning and sanitizing everything for your safety. There won’t be Sunday evening church yet, to allow for cleaning, but there will be a Wednesday evening service at 7 PM.
