No small jobs. No small servants. One BIG God. 🙌

The church doesn’t move forward because of one pastor, one ministry, or a handful of people. It moves forward when every believer embraces their God-given role in the mission of Jesus.

In Acts 6, we’re reminded that serving tables mattered just as much to God’s mission as preaching the Word. Why? Because every role matters when every role serves the mission.

Whether you’re teaching the next generation, welcoming guests, serving in the nursery, praying for others, or sharing the gospel with a neighbor, your faithfulness matters more than your visibility.

You don’t have to stand on a platform to make an eternal impact. You just have to be faithful where God has placed you.

Your challenge this week: Find one way to serve someone, meet a need, or point someone toward Jesus. Don’t wait for someone else to do it!

What a Sunday. Thank you to everyone who came, sang, served, and filled the room. There’s nothing like worshiping together as a church family.

We also got to celebrate Pastor Tanner’s 10 years at Ebenezer! For a decade he’s poured into our students and families. Much of that work happened where nobody was watching: late nights, long trips, countless conversations, and showing up again and again.

On Sunday we talked about how God fills ordinary servants with extraordinary grace, and Tanner has lived that out among us. There are no small jobs and no small servants, because we don’t serve a small God.

Tanner, thank you for 10 faithful years. We love you and we’re grateful for you.

In Acts 5, the early church learned that hard times don't mean God has left you. Sometimes opposition shows up because God is at work. Those first followers didn't stop because they suffered. They suffered because they wouldn't stop.

Following Jesus will cost you something. Maybe a friendship, your comfort, a Sunday morning you'd rather spend somewhere else. But our confidence was never that following Jesus would be easy. It's that Jesus is worth following when it isn't.

Nothing can stop a church committed to Christ.

This week's challenge: think of one place where following Jesus has cost you something, a place you've been tempted to quietly give up. Don't quit there. Take one step back in this week. Pray for that person again, say the thing you've been holding back, show up one more time.

What a Sunday at Ebenezer.

From our kids learning about Jesus, to conversations in the lobby, to worship together, to a room full of people on their knees praying. Sunday was a beautiful picture of the church being the church.

In Acts 5, we saw a church that could not be stopped because they were completely dependent on God.

They recognized God’s power.
They resisted the pressure.
They remained under God’s Word.
And they rejoiced in faithful suffering.

But perhaps one of the most encouraging things about Acts 5 is that this wasn’t a gathering of perfect people. It was ordinary people who had been changed by Jesus and were willing to follow Him together.

That’s us.

Young and old.
New believers and longtime saints.
Families and singles.
Different stories, different backgrounds, different generations, but one Savior, one Spirit, one mission.

And Sunday night, we got on our knees together and prayed because we know that we cannot accomplish God’s mission in our own strength.

We need His power.
We need His Word.
We need His Spirit.
And we need one another.

Nothing can stop a church committed to Christ.

What a privilege it is to be part of what God is doing at Ebenezer. Let’s keep praying. Let’s keep worshiping. Let’s keep making disciples. Let’s keep living sent.

When life hits you in the face, where do you go?

Your first stop after a hard day reveals your real community.

Sunday was a beautiful picture of authentic community. People gathering, praying for one another, carrying one another, and pointing one another to Jesus.

And we got to celebrate another baptism. Another life proclaiming, “I belong to Jesus.”

This is the kind of church we want to be: not just people in the same room, but people who are truly with one another.

There’s something special about gathering together.

Yesterday was full of worship, God’s Word, conversations, laughter, and meaningful connections. We were reminded that the gospel isn’t just something we hear on Sunday, it’s something we carry with us into the week and share with the people God has placed around us.

Grateful for Sundays like this and for the people who make up this church family.
