In Psalm 145 the psalmist (David) is entranced by God's greatness and unable to contain his heart's praise of God as he fills this psalm with a high view of God. His words remind us that the most fruitful and enduring ministries are rooted in a heart captivated by God's greatness.

It was a joy today to thank the Lord for Pastor Mark Chandler's 40 years of faithful service at First Baptist Church of Dacula. Please watch and listen as we celebrate not only the length of his ministry but also the greatness of our God he has sought to exalt throughout it.

Mark 1:40-41

"Now a l***r came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, 'If you are willing, You can make me clean.'

Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, 'I am willing; be cleansed.'

As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed."

Sin, like leprosy, is deeply destructive. It leaves us spiritually unclean and completely unable to cure ourselves. Yet, God didn’t leave us without hope. He sent His Son to heal this deadly condition.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, defeating sin forever. Just like the l***r in Mark chapter 1, we can come to Jesus for cleansing with bold faith. Ask Him to make YOU clean. Not only is He able to save you from your sin, but He deeply desires to do it.

In the gospels, l***rs represent the ultimate outcast. Under Old Testament law, they were deemed unclean and forced to live in isolation. But our narrative becomes scandalous when Jesus intentionally crosses social and religious barriers to bring transformative cleansing to a man trapped in a hopeless situation.

Please watch and listen as our Pastor shares the next message from his series in the book of Mark and shows us that Jesus is the only one with the solution for the l***r in our story and the only one who can offer the remedy for our sin.

How important is having a purpose in life? Many people wonder for years what their purpose is while others go on with life having no apparent desire to worry about it at all. Knowing your purpose in life gives you a goal to attain. An end to achieve.

Our Savior, the Lord Jesus, knew His purpose and diligently strove to follow it obediently, all the days of His life, to the glory of His Father in heaven! Please watch and listen as our Pastor shares his next message from the book of Mark, For This Purpose I Have Come.

🙏 There are so many different types of prayers. 🙏

Needy prayers. Thankful prayers. Tireless prayers. Desperate prayers.

Throughout Scripture we read about men and women who reached out to God in prayer sharing their needs, fears, joys, and deep desire for connection. We NEED prayer. It is our direct, God-given line to our Heavenly Father! No one better illustrates this than Jesus Himself. By taking on human form, He chose to experience our same weaknesses, temptations, and limitations. Yet, in every moment of trial, He consistently turned to His Father in prayer.

If Jesus, the Son of God Himself, sought to talk to His Father through prayer, how much more should we?

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Bobo continues our journey through the Gospel of Mark, touching on Jesus’ personal habit of prayer!

In our culture, the term "wanderer" carries an almost romantic idea. We see the wanderer as someone who moves from place to place to see the countryside without a care in the world. They are often held out as an ideal that we might like to achieve one day.

In the Bible, Cain, Adam and Eve's firstborn son, becomes a wanderer. As we look at the historical account from God's Word, however, we see that it was anything but an ideal situation!

Please watch and listen as one of our Elders, Joel Willoughby, shares a message from Genesis chapter 4:

In today's passage, when Jesus enters Simon and Andrew’s home, He finds Simon’s mother-in-law gravely ill. Not only is she sick, but their home is surrounded by an entire city of people who need help. But Jesus is the Great Physician who has just what they need.

Please watch and listen to Pastor Reyshawn's next message from Mark and learn how Jesus meets this mother, the city and us with His unending grace.
