I was extremely blessed to have the opportunity to visit with Sister Ethel Dyess this afternoon. I am in Ponce de Leon, FL, preaching at the Grace Baptist Church, where Brother Paul Davis is the pastor.

I know I don’t post here often, but I am grateful to all who pray for me and the ministry. I am 73 years old and am still able, by the grace and mercies of our good God, to travel full time. Although I don’t post an itinerary and seldom comment on meetings, the Lord has been keeping me quite busy.

As many men my age, I deal with health issues, but my personal prayer is that I may continue to travel, preaching and singing, until I am at least 80. Many of you have partnered with me in the ministry along the way, providing prayers, fellowship, and finances. I love you and bless the good Lord for you.

I know I don’t post often. I don’t generally tell where I have been or where I am headed. I do try to let everyone know if there is a problem that needs prayer. Sometimes that sort of slips up on you.

I suppose I can report that I am recovered from my triple bypass surgery. The question I get most is whether they cut me open. They did. It still hurts a little when I cough. I have, however, resumed a full schedule. As a matter of fact, I have been going full steam ahead for some time now. I don’t have any open dates before the middle of October.

I have just returned from a trip through Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. I was blessed to preach in six churches before returning home. With the Lord’s help I will preach in two churches Sunday and one next Sunday. The plan is to preach in one church August 6th and help in an ordination in another. Then, I head back to Texas.

I thank the Lord that I am busy in his work, but I am aware of my age and health issues. I ask for your continued prayers as I seek to serve him faithfully with the time left to me.

YESTERDAY WAS A GREAT DAY AT MARKED TREE, AR, GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH. IT IS ALWAYS A JOY TO PREACH IN MY HOME CHURCH. I HAVE WORKED OUT OF GRACE BAPTIST FOR TEN YEARS. BROTHER RON LOVINS HAS BEEN PASTOR FOR TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS. THE CHURCH IS FIFTY-FIVE YEARS OLD. ALL THESE ANNIVERSARIES HAPPENED YESTERDAY. WE WERE BLESSED TO HAVE SEVERAL VISITORS AS WELL AS MOST OF OUR REGULAR ATTENDEES. AFTER THE SERVICE WE ENJOYED WHAT BROTHER RON CALLS A “TUB OF GRUB!” MY, CAN THOSE LADIES(AND SOME OF THE MEN) COOK! THANK YOU, CHURCH!

I DON’T KNOW EXACTLY WHEN, BUT THE MESSAGE SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ON SERMON AUDIO AND YOU TUBE SOON.

It seems like I have been around the world lately. Three weeks ago, Scott and I went to camp meeting at Calvary Baptist in Hornbeak, TN. We had a wonderful time with friends and a blessed fellowship in the Lord. Scott and I both had opportunity to preach. The pastor and church showed us great hospitality.

On the 9th, I spent a few hours at home, then left very early on the 10th. I was with the Faith Baptist Church, Lambert, Ms, then went to McKenzie, TN, for Bible Conference at the Grace Baptist Church. I had the privilege of preaching and singing(several times). While I was at McKenzie, the Lord blessed with struts, shocks, and tires, through the Wall of Grace ministry.

On the 13th I traveled to Cleveland, TN, where I was blessed to preach at the New Salem Baptist Church, where Brother A.C. Cooper, Jr, is pastor. I stayed two nights with Brother Waymond Cooper. We all had lunch on Thursday with Brother Dudley Nichols, and all but Brother Dudley went to visit with Brother Harold Cooper. My, what a wonderful day it was!

On Friday, I traveled to Rogersville, TN, to visit with family, then on to Clear Spring, MD. on Saturday, the 16th.

Sunday, October 17-Tuesday, October 19, I preached and sang in revival services at the Way of the Cross Baptist Church where Brother Shane Dunahugh is pastor. The Lord blessed with a good meeting from which we expect to see fruit.

The next couple of days we spent sightseeing. We went to Antietam, Gettysburg(on my birthday), and Harper’s Ferry. We also ate a lot of seafood.

Brother Shane needed to pick up a car in Georgia, so we headed south on Friday. We stopped by to see Brother Larry and Ginger Montgomery before continuing our trip. We arrived in Conyers, Georgia, at the Way of the Cross, Baptist Church on Saturday, the 23rd. Brother Shane was scheduled to preach homecoming on the 24th. Pastor Billy Coleman kindly asked me to preach during the Sunday School hour and to lead singing.

I returned home Monday and am ready for a little rest. A friend died, so I will be heading to the viewing in a little bit. Then, my son and grandsons have plans for the next three days. Then, it’s back in the pulpit on the Lord’s day.

I think I can rest next week???🤔🤔🤔

Pray for me as I minister at the Faith Baptist Church in Philadelphia, MS this Lord’s day.

I returned home Sunday from Camp Caudle, near Hector, AR. The meeting was blessed with the Lord’s presence in power. I have sung and preached in this meeting for the last several years, and I think this was the best yet. Thank you to Brother Glen and all the folks from the Crossroads Community Church.

We had a tremendous revival meeting at the Grace Baptist Church in Marked Tree, AR. Brother Tom Hayes preached. I led the music and sang in each service. Brother Ron Lovins is our pastor. Thanks to my church family for your faithfulness.

I received my copy of, “The Devotional Writings of Tom Hayes, Vol. 1,” today. I would recommend this and all of Brother Tom’s books, as well as his music.

I want to say a big thank you to the folks at Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia. Your hospitality and generosity will not be forgotten. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank the Lord for all He did for us during the meeting, and may the church realize benefits for a long while.

I am preaching this morning in the conference at the Providence Baptist Church, Pulaski, TN, where Brother Darrell Lingerfelt is pastor. We started last night and will go through Tuesday. We are looking for great things from the Lord.

Wednesday through Sunday I will be trying to help with the music in revival meeting in Hartselle, Alabama. Brother Nathan Green is the Pastor, and Brother Barney Bryant will be doing the preaching.

Pray for this old preacher in all my travels as I preach and sing, telling people about Jesus. I know I don’t have many years left, but I want to go as long as the Lord gives me strength. I am thankful that my schedule is filling in after the pandemic, but I still have open dates.
