You made it.

Through the triggers and the grief and the loneliness and the stress. Through the family tension and the financial pressure and the memories that tried to pull you under.

You're still here. You're still fighting. You're still choosing recovery.

That is the truest kind of miracle.

Today, whether you're having the best Christmas or the hardest one, remember this: the baby in the manger grew up to be a Savior who specialized in redemption. In taking broken things and making them beautiful. In meeting people in their mess and loving them anyway.

That's what He does for you.

Merry Christmas from all of us. We love you. We're grateful for you. And we'll keep walking this road together.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

What's one thing you're grateful for today?

Tonight, we remember that hope arrived in the most unexpected way.

Not with power, but with vulnerability. Not in a palace, but in a stable. Not to the deserving, but to all of us who know we're not.

Whatever this night holds for you—whether you're surrounded by family or sitting alone, whether you're celebrating or surviving—know that the same Jesus who came for the broken and the lost came for you too.

You are loved. You are wanted. You are worth fighting for.

Merry Christmas Eve, friends.

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

If you're spending Christmas alone this year, you're not forgotten.

Maybe isolation feels safer. Maybe circumstances made the choice for you. Maybe you're protecting your recovery by keeping distance from toxic situations.

Whatever the reason, alone doesn't have to mean lonely. God is with you. This community is with you. You matter.

Consider reaching out to someone else who might be alone too. Sometimes the best way to ease our own loneliness is to ease someone else's.

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:8

Who can you reach out to today?

12/23/2025

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

Whatever emotions are swirling—dread, hope, grief, gratitude, fear, anticipation—they're all welcome here.

Recovery has taught us to feel our feelings instead of stuffing them down. That applies now too.

If tomorrow is hard, let it be hard. If tomorrow surprises you with joy, receive it. If you need to step away, step away. If you need to cry, cry. If you need to call someone, call.

You're not alone in this.

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7

The longest night of the year.

If you're in a dark season—emotionally, spiritually, relationally—know that darkness doesn't last forever. The days start getting longer from here.

That's how it works with God too. The darkest moments are often right before the dawn. The waiting feels endless until suddenly, breakthrough comes.

Hold on. Light is coming.

"Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."
Psalm 30:5

What are you believing God for in this season?

12/22/2025

If you've made it this far, I'm proud of you. Seriously.

Every day you've stayed sober, stayed honest, stayed connected—that's a win. Every time you've reached out instead of numbed out, every time you've chosen recovery over relapse, every time you've let yourself feel the feelings instead of running from them—that's courage.

You're doing hard things. Don't minimize that.

"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:13

The waiting is almost over.

In a few days, we'll celebrate the moment God stepped into our mess. Not to a palace, but to a barn. Not to the powerful, but to the poor. Not with fanfare, but with farm animals.

Emmanuel. God with us.

With us in the addiction. With us in the recovery. With us in the relapse. With us in the shame. With us in the loneliness. With us in the trying again.

He came near so we'd never have to be alone.

"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel—which means 'God with us.'"
Matthew 1:23

Where have you experienced God's presence this year?

12/22/2025

For those of us with trauma, the holidays can trigger more than just cravings.

Flashbacks. Anxiety. Hypervigilance. The body remembers what the mind tries to forget.

If you're struggling with more than just holiday stress—if old wounds are reopening—please know that's a normal response to an abnormal experience. You're not crazy.

You're not broken. You're healing.

And healing isn't linear. Be patient with yourself.

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."
Isaiah 40:29

What helps you feel safe when trauma responses show up?

3 Days until Christmas Eve.

This is often when the stress peaks. The to-do lists. The last-minute shopping. The pressure to make everything perfect.

But perfection was never the point.

A perfect Christmas won't heal your wounds. A perfect Christmas won't fix your family. A perfect Christmas won't fill the emptiness inside.

Only Jesus does that.

Give yourself permission to let go of perfect and embrace present.

"Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one."
Luke 10:41-42

What expectation can you release today?

The Christmas story is full of people who didn't have it together.

A teenage girl pregnant before marriage. A man wrestling with whether to stay. Shepherds—the outcasts of society—invited first to meet the King. Wise men who got lost and had to ask for directions.

God didn't choose the polished, the perfect, the put-together. He chose the humble, the hungry, the desperate for hope.

He chooses people like us.

"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong."
1 Corinthians 1:27

How does knowing God uses imperfect people encourage you today?

12/20/2025

Five days until Christmas.

If you're dreading it more than anticipating it, that's okay. You don't have to manufacture excitement you don't feel.

But can I offer a small challenge? Look for one good thing today. One moment of beauty. One reason to be grateful. One glimpse of grace.

It doesn't erase the hard stuff. But it reminds us that light still exists, even in darkness.

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:18

What's one good thing you noticed today?

12/19/2025

Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself.

You've apologized. You've made amends where you could. You've changed. But the guilt still lingers, especially when the holidays bring up memories of who you used to be.

Here's the truth: if God has forgiven you, who are you to withhold forgiveness from yourself?

Self-forgiveness isn't letting yourself off the hook. It's accepting the grace that's already been given. It's choosing to stop punishing yourself for what Jesus already paid for.

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
Psalm 103:12

What do you need to forgive yourself for?
