"God won't give you more than you can handle."

You've probably heard it a hundred times. Said it to someone going through a hard season. Maybe had it said to you.

But here's the thing: that phrase isn't in the Bible.

The verse it comes from, 1 Corinthians 10:13, is actually about resisting temptation. Not surviving suffering. And someone along the way twisted it into a promise God never made.

MomCo is coming to Fairfield Baptist Church Thursday, September 17 and we would love for you to be there. Every session we gather around the table for dinner, coffee, real conversation, and the kind of community that reminds you that you are not doing this alone.
