History and Mission
Pure Religion International Ministries was founded on June 18, 2011 by Pastor Florence Omolafe, and is still in the developmental and planning stages. This organization was formed exclusively for charitable purposes. Specifically, Pure Religion International Ministries (PRIM) will care and provide shelter for women: homeless, widows, drug addicted, aged and orphans. Based on t
he amount of income/funds received, the mission of the organization is to use the fund received to run transitional housing for women in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The initial program will focus on women who are homeless due to economic circumstances and capable of working towards self sufficiency, only needs little direction or assistance. In addition, part of the funds received will also be used to support orphanage programs in Nigeria and other parts of Africa where there have been an increase in the number of children who have lost their parents due to wars, illness and deadly diseases. Program Implementation
Program participants will be selected through a formal process. The applicant will be solicited in joint efforts with existing Counties homeless programs which according to research are currently inadequate to meet the needs of all the homeless persons in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Applicants will be screened to ensure that each applicant meets the minimum requirements to reside in PRIM's housing. The amount of income/funds received for the housing program will determine how many individuals to help at a time. The program will be run 100% from funds donated by public or goverment grants. The participants are not expected to pay any money for housing at PRIM. The length of stay in the program will only be SIX WEEKS. After six weeks and frequent case management meetings that will be conducted by volunteers who are certified in the field, participant will be ready to move into permanent housing. For whatever reason, if the permanent housing is not ready, arrangements will be made for an interim stay at a longer term facility such as Women sober living homes around the Counties. These services will be provided to participants free of charge. However participants will have to pay for the long term facility on their own.
