Abba’s House is a place of refuge and restoration for refugee women and their children in the life-giving presence of Jesus, in which they will live for 6-8 weeks upon their initial arrival and resettlement to the U.S. Our mission is to be a safe community of healing for refugee women and their children, restoring their dignity as ones created in God’s image by caring for their physical, emotional

, and spiritual well-being. At Abba’s House we seek to provide a season of safety, healing, and stability that propels our guests forward to becoming productive members of society. We seek to meet their physical needs, model basic life skills, and make progress toward dealing with the trauma they have experienced. Most importantly, we seek for them to encounter the love of Jesus through His people and the rhythms of life at Abba’s House.

We let the cucumbers go a little too long because of my daughter's wedding. This is what we came home to today. The biggest one was 34" long. Insane. And, this may well be the biggest tomato I have ever grown. We must have some high octane compost this year!

What a beautiful community dinner we got to celebrate last night at Abba's House. Jeane and her family were able to come back out for the first time since they left. Great food, baby goats, kite flying, a birthday celebration and worship made for a lovely evening. Thank you to all who came out.

Does anybody have a mini fridge to donate, for one of our refugee families that is in need?

Abba's House employers -- one of our current refugee guests is in need of work to support her and her daughter. She is a hard worker, Spanish speaking, has reliable transportation, work authorization, etc. Her preference is to remain within 20 minutes of the Cypress area and she would need to be full time and make at least $16-17 an hour to make ends meet. Do any of our employers have a position they could consider her for? You would gain a good employee and help change a life.

Wow! God is so good. Yesterday we experienced the outrageous generosity of God's people as a family from Redeemer in Tomball gifted this vehicle to one of our current guests. She has been working SO hard towards this goal. How sweet to see our God delight and bless this very special family.
