Hello and Happy New Year! We know this is a longer message, but we pray you will take a moment to read through it.

We serve with a ministry called Child Evangelism Fellowship of Greater Akron. Our mission is centered on three primary goals:
to evangelize children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
to disciple them through Biblical truth,
and to establish them in a local church for continued discipleship alongside their families.

We accomplish this through several ministries, with our largest being Good News Club—an after-school program held in public schools. Each week, children participate in games and activities, enjoy a snack, and most importantly, hear Bible lessons and memorize Scripture, with a clear Gospel message shared every time we meet.

We are currently seeking individuals who would be willing to serve on our committee. At present, we have seven committee members and are hoping to grow to ten, along with additional subcommittee members. The committee meets monthly to discuss day-to-day operations, staffing needs, and fundraising efforts. We are especially looking for individuals with experience in fundraising, ministry, social media or advertising—or simply those who have a heart for children and a desire to serve with a shared purpose.

In addition, we are beginning the search for a new Office Manager, as our current office manager is preparing for retirement.

If you are interested in serving on the committee or would like to be interviewed for the office manager position, please message us. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. If you know someone that you think would be interested in either position, please share this text with them.

Above all, we ask that you would pray for us as we seek to grow this ministry and reach as many children as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

starts tomorrow! Pray for all of the campers that do not know the Lord Jesus as their Savior that they would accept the free gift of salvation this week. Pray for those who have put their trust in Jesus that they dedicate their lives to serving Him. Pray for our CITs (counselors in training) to learn and grow closer to God so they can be the best counselors they can be in the future. Pray for our counselors that God gives them the energy and wisdom to lead their cabins. Pray for our staff as we have chapels, surprise hours, activities, and so much more to facilitate. And pray for Camp Burton’s staff as they assist us this week. Thank you!

Last week we had Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) to train our summer missionaries on how to run a 5 Day Club. Today, we are wrapping up our practice club. Next week we start going into neighborhoods to present the gospel to boys and girls in the Greater Akron area. Please keep the summer missionaries in your prayers.

Pray for safety for the summer missionaries as we go into some rougher neighborhoods. Pray that we stay healthy throughout the summer to be available to put on the 5 Day Clubs. Pray that we have good weather and that the 5 Day Club hosts have backup options in case there is bad weather. Most importantly, pray that the children we are going to reach are receptive to the Gospel and make the decision to put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ!
