God calls you to love others enough to speak the truth when they are wandering from Him. Church discipline is not about punishment or control—it is an act of love aimed at restoration and salvation. Ignoring serious, ongoing sin harms not only the person involved but also the health and witness of the whole church. Because God disciplines those He loves, you are called to reflect that same love with humility, courage, and grace. The goal is never condemnation, but repentance, healing, and the joy of seeing a brother or sister restored to Christ.
