According to John's Gospel, Jesus said to those who knew Him best, "No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends. ... You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit." Lord, thank You for choosing us, we pray that we strive every day to live up to this calling. Amen
