This Sunday, I hope all Montanans will join me in praying for rain as drought conditions intensify across Montana.

Prayer is the most powerful tool we have. I ask all who are faithful to come to God with thanks and pray.

The Bible encourages us that prayer needs to be part of our regular Christian lives.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 instructs us to “pray without ceasing”.

As you pray today lift up our nation and its leaders that we may see people turn to the Lord!

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Such a great Sunday to rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior! Happy Easter!

Are you concerned about your children's future? Do their lives seem without purpose? In a world full of hopelessness, give them hope through the knowledge of God and His Word. We are starting a new series of Bible studies for our youth Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

How much do you know about Saint Patrick? Did you know he was a Baptist?

-Saint Patrick was actually of Scottish descent. He was born in 360 A.D in a little town near Glasgow.

-His Grandfather was a preacher and his father a deacon. He was brought up with the teaching of the early Celtic Christians.

-They believed Baptistic doctrine however, the term “Baptist” had not yet been coined. Some of these beliefs that define them as Baptists are: The Bible is the sole authority, baptism is by immersion, and local churches had two church offices (pastors and deacons).

-Saint Patrick was taken by pirates and sold as a slave in Ireland when sixteen years old.

-He later wrote of his salvation testimony that happened during his slavery. “But in that strange land, the Lord opened my unbelieving eyes; and although late, I called my sins to mind and was converted with my whole heart to the Lord my God, who regarded my low estate, had pity on my youth and ignorance, and consoled me as a father consoles his children.”

-He saw the need of Ireland in a dream and returned there as a missionary. He makes it clear in his writings that he was called of God.

- Saint Patrick was not sent to Ireland by the bishop of Rome. His story gets confused with that of Palladius and Malachy who were Catholic and as a result history has been rewritten.

-Saint Patrick simply evangelized the Druids by preaching. Contrary to folklore and tale, there is no evidence that he persecuted, conquered, or martyred anyone.

In a world that tries to emphasize that all religions under the title of Christianity are the same, it’s vitally important for us to know why we are Baptist and the Biblical doctrines behind what we believe as we follow the teachings of our Lord and Savour.
