‼️Attention Parishioners of St. James, St. Williams & St. Joseph‼️

We will be having a meeting Monday, April 20th at 7:00 PM at the St. James Parish Hall to discuss the future of the Wild Game Feed. As many of you know Father K is being transferred from McCook to Orleans which means he will no longer have his annual game feed here.

We must collectively decide if we want to continue this important fundraiser for our three parishes by ourselves.

Please plan on attending with your thoughts, ideas, concerns ect. so, we can plan accordingly.

Friends....please take a moment to say this prayer and share. The power of prayer is so great.

Prayer for Protection and Rain

Divine Protector and Provider,

We lift up the state of Nebraska tonight as the winds howl and the fires race across our dry plains. We ask for Your immediate hand of protection over the homes, farms, livestock and lives currently in the path of the flames.

For the First Responders:
We pray for the firefighters, the sheriff’s deputies, and the neighbors on tractors cutting fire lines. Grant them strength when they are weary, sharp minds to make split-second decisions, and safety amidst the smoke and heat. Shield them from harm as they stand between the fire and our communities.

For Those Displaced:
For the families who have had to flee their homes, we pray for a sense of peace that surpasses understanding. Guard their property, comfort their hearts, and provide them with a safe place to rest until the danger passes.

For the Land and the Winds:
We ask that You would rebuke the fierce winds. Let the gusts die down so the fires may be contained. We humbly ask for an end to this drought—for a soaking, gentle rain to saturate this "epicenter" of dry earth, turning the dormant grass from fuel back into life.

For Our Neighbors:
Help us to be vigilant and kind. Let us look out for one another, offering a hand to the displaced and support to the exhausted. May we find our strength not in our own power, but in Yours and in the community we build together.
Amen.
