“Betrayed”, what does that word mean to you? We all have been betrayed at least one time in our lives. Can you remember your first time? Can you remember your last time? Was it last year, last week or maybe it was today. The meaning of the word: is to be disloyal to, be unfaithful, inform on/against, double-cross, break faith with, denounce, deceive, to sell ou
t, give away, stab in the back, break one’s promise. How do you get over being betrayed? I can tell you how I made it through and pray my story will help you not to be the victim. I have been “Betrayed” but this does not define who I am. I’m a daughter of the Most High God. I was forsaken by the church family, molested by an in-law, friends that abandoned me, accused me,and abused by the one that promised to love me until death. Why was I betrayed? I don’t have all the answers. But the one thing I do know, the only way I’m still alive today is because I fell on my knees and cried out to the only one that has never hurt me, abandoned me, accused me, abused me or forsaken me. His Name Is Jesus! He knows how I felt. He counted everyone of my tears. He saw and heard all of the wrongs. You see He was hurt, abandoned, abused, accused, and forsaken. He was” Betrayed”. But He turned to the Father on His knees in prayer. He is my great example of what I must do. Only Jesus can show us how, He didn’t just make it through. He conquered it ALL! He was not and is not a victim. You too can choose not to be the victim. You are wanted, you are thought of, your cries are heard, your tears are counted, you do matter, YOU ARE LOVED. You don’t have to stay in the pain. “Betrayed yes, but not forgotten.”
