With grateful hearts, we remember our beloved Pastor and teacher, Pastor Wendell Friest, who went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2026, at the age of 90.
For more than ten years, Pastor Friest faithfully flew from Minnesota to Silicon Valley several times a year to pour into the young people of Good Shepherd Christian Church. He taught us the Bible with deep love and clarity, grounding everything in the gospel theology of both the New and Old Testaments.

He always lifted up God in the love and truth of Christ. He lived as a true disciple who knew and rejoiced in the love of Jesus — and he had a special heart for the youth. Pastor Friest mentored multiple generations of young people with patience, wisdom, and genuine care.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved by our church family. Thank you, Pastor Friest, for your faithful service, your love for God’s Word, and the lasting impact you have left on so many of our lives.

Join us this Mother’s Day on Sunday, 5/10 at 11:00 AM as we celebrate and honor the wonderful mothers in our church! We’ll have a special service featuring music and a heartfelt testimony aimed at encouraging and uplifting our mother figures. After service, all women are invited to stay for a relaxing picnic and a live painting event. We’d love to celebrate with you and your family—hope to see you there!
