🌊 Baptism Sunday ✝️

By God's amazing grace, over the last few years we have participated in baptizing many new believers who have been transformed by Jesus! All glory to God as we get to humbly participate in His redeeming work amongst us. God is working and we get to participate...what a gift! It's a day to celebrate!!!

"We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (Romans 1:4)

Psalm 63:1,3
"O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You;
my flesh faints for You,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. ...
Because Your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise You."

No matter the circumstances, may we continue to find our satisfaction in the LORD. He is faithful through it all. His steadfast love endures forever!

What does a disciple of Jesus look like?

There is no formula or rubric for following Jesus. The Bible, though, describes what a person's life looks like: Kingdom values, ethics, and behaviors that flow from union with Christ.

A disciple of Jesus is someone who:
▫️ Cherishes God's Word
▫️ Communes with God in Prayer
▫️ Worshipful Heart
▫️ Denies Self & Obeys God
▫️ Builds Healthy Relationships
▫️ Serves Others
▫️ Makes Disciples

As brothers and sisters, we are formed into the likeness of Jesus in community. Come join us!

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths."

With everything we have, we trust our gracious God. Maybe it's day by day (or even moment by moment), we run to the Lord and cast our cares upon Him. With prayerful surrender and faith-filled action, we take one step at a time in trust.

Are you leaning on your own understanding? How is God prompting you to trust Him more?

Gospel Partnership

"I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.". -Philippians 1:3-6

Doxa Church is so thankful for our sending church, Grace Fellowship of South Forsyth , and the partnership we have in the gospel. We both exist to make disciples of Jesus here in this community and we praise God for love, support, prayers, and partnership as we go forth.

"In this gospel the Church is one, we do not walk alone. We have His Spirit as we press on, to lead us safely home." 'One Gospel', City Alight
