Men of The Vine, we're four weeks into Recovering Biblical Masculinity, our series exploring God's design for men and how the gospel shapes the men we're becoming.

Each Wednesday, we share biblical encouragement, trusted resources, and questions to help you reflect and discuss with other men.

This week: Real Men vs. Good Men. The world tells us "real men" use their strength for themselves. But God designed masculine strength for the good of others.

Masculinity is like fire — devastating unchecked, but life-giving when properly ordered. The solution isn't to extinguish it. It's to redeem it.

What do people recognize when they encounter your life?

As we surrender to Jesus and allow Him to change us, others should begin to recognize the aroma of Christ in us.

That means letting go of our ideals, our comfort, our pride, and our self-reliance, and choosing instead to be led by Christ.

We don’t have to have everything figured out or have it all together. In our limitations and weaknesses, Christ leads us and works through us.

So the question is: Am I surrendering my life to Jesus and asking Him to change me so that my life looks more like Him?

📖 2 Corinthians 2:12–17

Men of The Vine, we're three weeks into Recovering Biblical Masculinity, our series exploring God's design for men and how the gospel shapes the men we're becoming.

Each Wednesday, we share biblical encouragement, trusted resources, and questions to help you reflect and discuss with other men.

This week: Breaking Gender Stereotypes. Have you defined your masculinity more by stereotypes in history than by God's design?

The Bible breaks stereotypes on every side — Jesus called Himself gentle and lowly, and Paul described himself in the tenderness of a nurturing mother. Biblical masculinity isn't a cultural mold. It's God's design.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean ignoring sin, and truth doesn’t mean harshly condemning others.

In 2 Corinthians 2:5-11, Paul warns us about both extremes: letting things slide in the name of forgiveness and harshly condemning in the name of truth and justice.

The gospel calls us to something different: repentance, forgiveness, and restoration, with hearts that are continually being shaped by Christ.

Which tendency do you find yourself leaning toward? Ask the Lord to search your heart and lead you toward His way.

Men of The Vine, we're two weeks into Recovering Biblical Masculinity, our digital series exploring God's design for men and how the gospel shapes the men we're becoming.

Each Wednesday, we share biblical encouragement, trusted resources, and questions to help you reflect and discuss with other men.

This week: The Overlap of Gender. Before we talk about what makes masculinity distinct, we start with what men and women share.

"So God created man in his own image... male and female he created them." — Genesis 1:27

That word "and" is radical. It means God designed men and women as equals — and with distinction.

What does Godly integrity look like?

It’s more than simply being honest or doing what we think is right. Godly integrity is rooted in God’s character, guided by His Word, and lived out through the grace and help of the Holy Spirit.

And it begins with confidence in Christ. We don’t have to constantly prove ourselves or have all the answers. We can simply ask, “What does God say is right?” and trust Him to lead us.

Jesus is the source of Godly integrity.

Integrity Matters | 2 Corinthians 1:12–2:4

Missions Monday 🌎

This Sunday, we were grateful to hear from Cindy Morris of Confident threads - one of our Loving the Community mission partners through The Vine’s Hope Tree Ministry.

Confident Threads provides clothing for children in need and in foster care, meeting a practical need while showing these children they are seen, valued, and loved. What began as a community project has grown into a ministry serving hundreds of children each year, and Cindy shared how faithfully God has provided every step of the way.

We’re thankful to partner with ministries caring for vulnerable children right here in our community. Join us in praying for Confident Threads and the work God is doing through them! 🙏

Want to support their ministry? Confident Threads is hosting a Comedy Night benefiting their ministry right here at The Vine next Thursday! Come enjoy a night of laughter while supporting their mission to serve children in need and in foster care. 🎤 visit go.thevinecc.com/comedy

Men of The Vine, there is no shortage of voices telling us what it means to be a man. But what does God say?

This week, we're beginning Recovering Biblical Masculinity, a new digital series exploring God's design for men and how the gospel shapes the men we're becoming.

Each Wednesday, we'll share biblical encouragement, trusted resources, and questions to help you reflect and discuss with other men.

We begin with a question: Men, where have you gone?

Have we placated? Rebelled? Avoided? Or is there another way?

This Sunday, we began our new series in 2 Corinthians with “Comforted with a Purpose” | 2 Corinthians 1:1–11.

Following Jesus doesn’t mean we’re spared from suffering. Scripture never asks us to pretend that life isn’t hard. Instead, it points us to a deeper hope: in every affliction, Jesus is present, faithful, and enough.

And the comfort we receive from God isn’t meant to stop with us. As He meets us in our weakness, sustains us in suffering, and teaches us to depend on Him, He equips us to come alongside others with that same comfort and point them to the hope we have in Christ.

We are comforted with a purpose: so that we may comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
