Our second semester of Flourish: Principles of Discipleship kicked off last Sunday, and we’re already so encouraged! 🌱

Over these eight weeks, we’re discovering God’s Word together, encouraging one another through honest conversations and prayer, and putting our faith into action—all rooted in who we are in Christ.

We’re grateful for a congregation eager to grow deeper in relationship with Jesus and with one another. We can’t wait to see how the Lord works through this class and how that growth takes root throughout our church as we flourish in God’s grace, together.

When we know where we’re headed, it changes how we walk today.

Our hope is not rooted in having control, avoiding failure, or knowing what comes next. Because of the gospel, we know how the story ends: we belong to Christ, and eternity with Him is secure.

That hope gives us courage to face our fears, loosen our grip on this temporary life, and walk by faith even when we cannot see what’s ahead.

As we long for what is eternal, may our lives today be marked by faithfulness to Jesus.

What is driving the man you are becoming?

Without a secure blessing, a lot of men spend their lives trying to prove they're men: more money, more influence, more respect. But if the world has to keep validating your masculinity, the world owns you.

"You do not need the world to tell you, 'You're the man.' You need God to tell you, 'You're my man.'"

🌍 Missions Monday

Sometimes a short-term mission trip is just the beginning.

A few years ago, Claire said yes to serving with The Vine on a short-term mission trip to Greece. Since then, she has returned for three separate trips, serving Muslim refugees while the Lord continued to grow her heart for cross-cultural missions.

Now, that journey is leading to another opportunity. This January, Claire will spend two months in the Middle East for a missions internship, receiving training and serving alongside local missionaries.

And what she learns may equip her not only for future ministry overseas, but for ministry right here at home. As Claire shared Sunday, even if the Lord doesn’t ultimately lead her to spend more time overseas, this experience will better equip her to love and serve the growing Muslim community in our own area.

That’s part of why Short-Term Missions (STEMS) matter. We go to support our global partners and see the Kingdom of God advance through effective cross-cultural ministry, but God also uses these experiences to change us. He deepens our dependence on Christ, expands our heart for the nations, and equips us to live on mission wherever He places us.

Our desire isn’t simply to take trips. It’s to be a church willing to go, make disciples, and follow wherever the Lord leads, whether across the world or across the street.

Each Wednesday, we share biblical encouragement, trusted resources, and questions to help you reflect and discuss with other men.

This week: Christianity's Response to Fallen Masculinity. Men are not lords. Jesus is Lord — and men must submit to His Lordship.

The cross became the emblem of Christian masculinity: the strongest sacrificing himself for the weakest. Christianity didn't shame men for being men — it demanded they become the men God created them to be.

Suffering is real. Pain is real. And Scripture doesn’t ask us to pretend otherwise.

But what we see in front of us is not the whole story.

Because of Jesus, we can grieve what is broken while still holding onto hope. Even in suffering, God is at work renewing us day by day, reminding us that what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Our circumstances may change. Our strength may fail. But our hope remains because our hope is in Jesus.

Each Wednesday, we share biblical encouragement, trusted resources, and questions to help you reflect and discuss with other men.

This week: Culture's Response to Fallen Masculinity. Our culture has rightly named real failures in masculinity — but in trying to fix them, it's often treated masculinity itself as the problem.

God didn't make you mighty to rule over others. Your strength is designed to serve, defend, protect, and bless.

The answer isn't weaker men or more dominant men. It's redeemed men — strength governed by meekness and shaped by Christ.

Life is hard, and the temptation to lose heart is real. But we were never meant to carry the weight of making everything work ourselves.

In 2 Corinthians 4:1–6, we’re reminded that ministry is God’s mercy, governed by His Word and accomplished by His power. Our part is to surrender, obey, and trust Him.

The same God who spoke light into physical darkness is able to shine the light of Christ into spiritual darkness. And when life is difficult, we can keep looking to Jesus instead of placing our hope in the things around us.

He is with us. His power is at work. So we do not lose heart.

We often approach change by asking, “What do I need to do differently?” But the Christian life isn’t ultimately about our ability to make ourselves better. It’s about becoming more like Jesus.

And that begins by looking to Him.

To behold Jesus is more than an occasional glance. It’s to continually turn our attention to Him, to know Him through His Word, and to trust and surrender our lives to Him. As we gaze upon Christ, the Spirit is at work sanctifying us, shaping our hearts and lives more and more into His image.

We don’t have to carry the pressure of transforming ourselves. We fix our eyes on Jesus and trust the One who is changing us.
