September Highlights 💚
As we look back on September, we want to highlight our Great Day of Service, when our CFUMC family came together to serve others and share God’s love in our community.

Together, we made care packages and 200 Thanksgiving cards for people who are homebound or living in assisted living, made blankets for veterans, and shared an afternoon of ice cream and with residents at Towne Club Windermere.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and made the day truly GREAT!

We’re proud to see a few of our own representing CFUMC’s Food Pantry and Backpacks of Love at the Georgia Mountain Food Bank’s 2026 Empty Bowl Luncheon!

The Empty Bowl is an annual fundraiser supporting the fight against hunger in our community. This year, Georgia Mountain Food Bank reached its goal to provide 1 million meals to neighbors across Hall, Dawson, Lumpkin, Forsyth and Union county!

Today, we remember all who lost their lives, lost loved ones, and all who bravely responded with courage and sacrifice on September 11, 2001. We pray for those still impacted by loss and the weight of this day 25 years later.

Bring your donations this Sunday (9/13)! United Women in Faith is collecting supplies for Hygiene Kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief. These kits provide essential hygiene items for people affected by disasters and other crises around the world.

Donation buckets will be located in the:
🔴 Front Office
🔴 Atrium outside the Sanctuary
🔴 Lobby of the Family Life Center
🔴 UWF shelf in the Family Life Center hallway (outside Room 110)

Did you know? The CFUMC Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 9:00–11:00 AM, and anyone in need is welcome to receive groceries. You can be a part of this amazing ministry, too! There are two easy ways to get involved:

🥫 Donate: Bring non-perishable food items and place them in the designated bins throughout the church or drop them off at the church office Sunday–Thursday.

🤝 Volunteer: From setting up and distributing food, to picking up donations, tending the Food Pantry garden, and more, there’s a place for everyone to serve!
