140 years of history. 140 years of faith. 140 years of carrying the Gospel forward.

As I reflect on this incredible milestone, I am humbled and deeply honored to serve as a Bishop in the Church of God.

I don’t take the title of Bishop lightly. It is not a position to boast about—it is a responsibility to serve, to lead, to pray, and to help carry the vision of the Kingdom of God forward.

I’m proud of who we are.

I’m proud of our history.
I’m proud of our heritage.
I’m proud of our Pentecostal roots.
I’m proud of our churches and pastors.
I’m proud of the generations who came before us and paid a price for the Gospel.

And most of all, I’m proud that we are still preaching Jesus, still believing the Bible, still expecting the supernatural, and still reaching for the lost.

140 years later, the fire is still burning.

Humbly honored. Deeply grateful.
Proud to be Church of God.

This morning, before the polls opened, the three of us gathered on the steps of the Claiborne County Courthouse to pray.

We weren’t there as Republicans or Democrats. We weren’t there to make any statement other than God’s Word gives us a clear instruction:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

We prayed for our county, our leaders, our election officials, every candidate, and every citizen casting a vote today. We asked God to grant wisdom, peace, integrity, and unity.

Revival has never depended on the size of the crowd—it begins with faithful people willing to pray.

May God bless Claiborne County, and may we never stop seeking Him.
