We're thrilled to welcome special guest preacher Lauren Begert this Sunday!

Lauren will be speaking from Exodus 33:12-23. Here's a few words of preview from her: This text from Exodus is an instant classic- A drama between Moses and God unfolding with all the ingredients for a good story. In Moses' despair and exhaustion, he makes a stunning plea to God: "Please show me your glory." God's response offers us remarkable insight into the divine heart, and perhaps fresh vision for how to approach our work (especially on those extra hard days).

Lauren is a new friend of Thad's. She holds a BA in Psychology from Western Washington University, an MA in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University, and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. With over a decade of leadership experience in Christian Higher Education and Pastoral Ministry, including both teaching and serving as a chaplain, Lauren has long enjoyed pastoring, mentoring, and empowering others to lean into their belovedness and embody the loving will of God throughout the world. She currently serves as the Pastor for Campus & Community Engagement at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, the Director of Formation for Cyclical Los Angeles, and the Director of Operations & Partnerships for Makarios Institute. A baseball fan (Go Dodgers!), connoisseur of kettle chips, and champion of the practice of presence, Lauren lives in Santa Monica, California with her husband Taylor and two sons: Isaiah (9) and Luke (6).
