The Love Church is a non-denominational, non-profit, teaching ministry that recognizes the call to discipleship as a call to grow in the faith and knowledge of Jesus, the Christ. We meet at 11:30 in the Chapel at Culpeper Baptist Church. The word disciple means learner or follower. We are committed to learning, living and sharing the doctrines (teachings) of Jesus. The Bible says, “so then faith c
ometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Therefore, hearing the Word of God causes our faith to grow. Faith is not just a mere experience with God, but it is a continual growing process. Many people fall away from the faith because they stop growing. When we stop growing spiritually, we begin to die spiritually. We feel it is essential to keep Christ as the central focal point of our lives. In actuality, it’s not about us per se; ‘who we are individually’ or “what we did here or there”; it’s about His purpose, His plan and His will for our lives, as expressed in Matthew 28:19 (KJV):
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
