Good evening TBC,
Throughout the week and now as we approach the weekend, there seemed to be a consistent theme of discussion this week. A winter storm is brewing! At this moment, we have not made a final decision for Sunday but we plan to make a decision by end of day tomorrow. Continue praying for the potential impact as well be in contact with those in your circle of influence and check to ensure needs met or being prepared. This could be historic with the snow and cold and preparing is necessary! I want to thank those that have been at the church this week preparing the church in the event of a significant storm and power outages. Please let us know if you have needs that can be met tomorrow. We are at the 24 hour mark of when the impact of winter weather could be in our area. We have time but not a lot of time remaining to assist with needs.
One item I want to remind us of this weekend is, Trust in God. God does not fail us, He wants good for us, He is faithful and ready to provide us the wisdom we need as we ask. Remember who it is that loves us and my hope is that you whole heartedly love Him as well; Jesus Christ our King, our Lord, our Risen Savior, our Example! And the Holy Spirit as our Paraclete meaning our Power, Comforter, Advocate, Guide, Intercessor and Teacher. As we trust in God each moment and day, He is the author of our steps, He wants to hear from us and wants us to be more interested and engaged with Him than anything else. God desires for us to be dependent on Him and as He gives us guidance for us to act of it. Just as you have heard, love is best shown through action. As we love and trust in God, He wants us to love and trust Him in all things and for all things. God has given us the strength to follow Him. On Sunday, we discussed Eph. 4:23 that reminds us that it is necessary every day to renew our minds and to stay focused on God’s plan. And, 1 Cor. 10:13 that reminds us that God always provides a way of escape for us in every temptation.
As we prepare for this weekend, stay present, stay engaged and stay ready. If you have needs please let us know.
In Christ,
Pastor Ethan
