Some technical issues, so the video did not record completely, so here is a summary for this past Sunday service with some of the greatest people in at least a 5 country stretch around Culpeper.
This is the first week of a three week series, join us this coming Sunday for week 2.
Continue prayer for the students (high school, middle school, and elementary school) in our community, across the state, and the nation. They are our NOW generation and as the older generation, while we may have messed up the environment, economy, social systems, justice system, education system, food eco-system, finance markets, cultures, customs, governments, and more, it is not too late to get it right back on our knees in prayer to the ALMIGHTY GOD!
God is the same across all generations. We read about HIS power, engagement, and wonders from Genesis through Revelation, from In the beginning to AMEN, like a book of what once was but never again. We need to understand that the God of yesterday is the God of today, we just need to pause our busyness and recall 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
God is still calling..."Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." - Hebrews 10:23.
Take a little extra time this week, remember what it is like to spend quality time with a loved one...grandmother, grandfather, mom, or dad. Remember the feeling of appreciation, the sense of doing what's right? Remember how that time alone together was cherished? It was more valuable than any gift because it was a gift that could never be replaced or purchased, the gift of time.
Now, when was the last time you gave that gift back to God?
Can we spend a little more time with God this week? A little more time in prayer for the up and coming generations? For the older generation? For our leaders and elected officials (even if you did not vote for them)?
Pray...Appreciate...Pray some more.
Thank you for your time in reading this and our Wednesdays are moving to just being at 2pm then Sunday again at 10am for Bible Study and 11am for Service.
See you soon.
