14 years ago today, February 23, 2011 on a mission trip at Hope Church, Ryazan, Russia, Jon was a big hit with the Ryazan Baptist leaders! Please pray that doors would open again for resuming ministry with our dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

Dear Prayer Warriors… we just received a prayer request from Sergey, pastor in Sosovo. His wife Vikka, (on left of photo) is at 31 weeks in her pregnancy… today, she started contractions, not dilating, but definitely contractions… their hospital in Sosovo, cannot care for her at this stage of pregnancy… so sent her on 4 hour ambulance ride to Ryazan. In the photo, you see they have a son, and three daughters. This baby is a little boy, and Sergey’s voice messages sounded very discouraged. Thank you for lifting all of them in prayer. They came from Ukraine as missionaries in Sosovo.

We have wonderful news from Ryazan, Russia! On October 19, Dima and Nastya Zhirov were blessed with a baby daughter, Olesya. Veronica now has a baby sister. Congratulations to the entire family! Please continue to pray fervently for our Russian brothers and sisters in Christ.

Please continue to pray for peace in Ukraine. The picture below was taken in 2016 when our mission team prayed with Ukrainian refugees at a Ryazan Baptist church after they had fled from the violence in their own country. A group of Ryazan Baptist churches sent missionaries and supplies to Ukraine in 2018 to relieve their suffering. A Ryazan brother in Christ recently shared with me, "Not everything is as simple as it may seem." Please pray that the long-standing differences can be resolved without resorting to violence.
