I’m going to share a song I began writing last August. I used Suno to sing the song into and created the instrumental arrangement. I’m singing but of course Suno filters it without a full price subscription. However, it captured my vision for the song perfectly. It’s copyright protected. I feel so strongly I need to share it today. I hope this song encourages you and leads you to diving into a deeper relationship with Jesus, The One Who always stayed…
“One Love That Stayed”…

Hmmm…

[VERSE 1]
I’ve worn the ache of empty promises
Held hearts that never held me back
Sat in rooms full of people
Still felt invisible, lost in the dark

Every “forever” turned into silence
Every safe place became a goodbye
And I got so used to disappointment
I stopped expectin’ anyone to do what’s right

[PRE-CHORUS]
But You found me outside those walls
Right there where I was, and every tear I know you saw

[CHORUS]
And You sat with me, Jesus
When nobody else knew how
You didn’t rush my healing
Didn’t shame my breaking down

When love had always left me
You stayed when the lights went dim
Now I know what forever feels like
Cause forever has a name…and it’s You…
One Love That Stayed…

[VERSE 2]
You never loved me for performance
Never asked me to hide behind my scars
You saw every abandoned corner
Still called this shattered heart fully Yours

And even when my faith was trembling
Your mercy never pulled away
I was scared to hurt for trusting
But Yours kept whisperin’ “I’ll always stay” -

[PRE-CHORUS]
You met me in that agonizing, lonely place
And wrapped my hurt deep inside Your grace

[CHORUS]
And You sat with me, Jesus
When nobody else knew how
You didn’t rush my healing
Didn’t shame my breaking down

When love had always left me
You stayed when the lights went dim
Now I know what forever feels like
Cause forever has a name… and it’s You…
One Love That Stayed…

[BRIDGE]
You don’t walk away when I’m wounded
You don’t disappear when I’m weak
You’re the only love I’ve ever known
That didn’t turn its back on me

And I’d rather sit here in Your presence
Than chase another temporary hand
Cause the world may leave in pieces
But You hold every broken strand

You’re The One That always Stayed…

YOU STAYED…

[FINAL CHORUS]
So sit here with me, Jesus
Till every fear and hurt lets go
Teach this weary heart again
What it means to be loved

Cause even at my lowest
You never treated me like a burden
You called me chosen
While I was still hurting…

And…if the whole world walks away
I’ll still have everything in You
Cause the truest love I’ve ever known
Has always been You…
Jesus…

The One Love That Stayed…

[TAG]
When everybody else left fingerprints of pain
Your touch redeemed the loss
Reminding me how in all I could ever lose or gain
You’ve held me with Your nail-scarred hands…
All along

[OUTRO]
So sit here with me, Jesus
Till every fear and hurt lets go
Teach this weary heart again
What it means to be loved

And…if the whole world walks away
I’ll still have everything in You
Cause the truest love I’ve ever known
Has always been You…
Jesus…

Some seasons in life feel powerful and full of momentum. Others may feel quiet…scary…hidden…stretched thin. The hard part is usually not the beginning of faith. It’s the middle.

The middle is where prayers seem unanswered. Where healing takes longer than expected. Where you keep showing up, loving people, forgiving, believing, serving, standing… while wondering if anything is changing. God does some of His deepest work in the middle.

Seeds grow underground before they ever break the surface. Roots form in hidden places. Strength is built where nobody applauds. Right now, you might feel like you’re carrying more than you can explain, but you see, grace was never just meant for the mountaintops. Grace sustains you in the waiting, in those still moments, in the wrestling, in the rebuilding, and in your becoming.

Jesus never asked you to pretend you’re not tired. He simply said not to lose heart. You can cry and still believe. Rest and still trust. Heal and still hope. You can take one small faithful step at a time and still be walking in victory.

God is not absent because things are taking time. Sometimes delay is not denial, it is development. The storm did not expose weakness the way you thought it would. It revealed that your foundation was deeper than you realized. The enemy thought that the pressure would make you quit. Instead, it’s teaching you endurance. You are not forgotten in the middle. God is still writing your story. Just rest in Him as you keep moving forward.

“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
