The Eye of a Needle

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” - Mark 10:25

Around the walls of Jerusalem and other Bible-era cities, they had little low gates to keep people from riding through the streets of the city at night. A man could get through, but the animals couldn’t. These little gates were called “The Eye of a Needle.”

Now, a camel could possibly have gotten through one of these gates, but it would have been next to impossible. He would have had to get down on his knees and have his entire load taken off his back.

The reason it’s so difficult for a rich man to get to heaven is that he, along with us all, has to get down low (humble himself) like that camel and get that burden off his back. Trusting in Christ alone is the only way.

Join us Easter morning for our Sunrise Service at 6:00.
Afterwards, enjoy a great breakfast cooked by the men of the church.
Then join us at 9:45 for Sunday School, and 10:45 for worship service. Help us celebrate a risen Savior.

Service of Shadows
Friday April 03, 2026
At 6:00 pm
Join us for our Service of Shadows, a candle light service remembering the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After reading scripture, songs, and the partaking of the Lord's Supper, we solemnly part company, waiting to return Sunday morning and rejoice in the risen Savior.

Our Service of Shadows is April 03, Good Friday @ 6:00 pm.

We gather on that night in remembrance of the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior. He was the last sacrifice for the sins of all sinners. Through his death, if we believe in our heart, we can have the assurance of eternal life, rejoicing with him in Heaven after we leave this earth.

We come then in solemn reverence of him, and honoring him for the love that held him on that cross for each and every one of us. We can only imagine in our minds all that he endured on this day, so many years ago.

We will leave t h e service, speechless feeling the sorrow of the ones who watched from afar, not understanding why he had to die. But now, we understand what they could not.

We will gather again Sunday morning April 5, as, the sun rises and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, knowing that on the third day he arose victorious over death and the grave. We can rejoice and sing praises for having such a wonderful and loving savior such as him. Through his death, burial and resurrection, we can be saved from an eternal hell.
So until that much anticipated day, when the trump shall sound, and he bursts the eastern sky to gather his church, all saved people, and we join him in the clouds to return with him to our eternal home, Heaven, we can live a victorious life here on earth, serving him and rejoicing every day for what he done for you and on that Easter morning so long ago
