After several years of their unique forms of ministry in England, Josh and Jessica Cobb are now seeing some fruit from their labor.
Josh worked with one woman who was a survivor of childhood trauma and suffered from suicidal ideation for several years. He grieved alongside her, advocated and prayed for her, and shared the gospel with her.
After much waiting, she had an appointment with a health-care professional who prescribed medication for the recurring suicidal thoughts. Then, with the clarity the medication provided, she was able to apply the truths and principles Josh taught her. With continued treatment, those thoughts haven’t reoccurred for the past two years.
God transformed her life. She started dating and found a new job—things she had thought were superfluous since she believed she wasn’t going to live. The young woman’s family and closest friends weren’t aware of the magnitude of her suffering until she began sharing her testimony.
After hearing about the woman’s experiences with mental health challenges and her new faith in God, others thanked her, admitting they’d had similar experiences but remained silent due to the stigma. Since then, several who heard her testimony have had the courage to seek Josh’s help.
🙏 PRAY that God would continue to grant the Cobbs patience and hope since the fruit of their labor often isn't immediate, and pray for more people’s hearts and minds to be opened to the gospel so that they would find hope and comfort in the Lord.
