Grace Episcopal Church

Grace Episcopal Church Come and see! We are delighted that you have found us online! Our “dress code” is what ever you feel comfortable in.

Grace is a community of people from diverse backgrounds, who support each other in our calling to follow Jesus Christ by loving God, loving our neighbors, and loving ourselves. Our hope is that the information here will encourage you to Come & See [John 4:29] for yourself the love, sense of belonging, and fun Grace Church has to offer. Our liturgy [i.e., “the work of the people”], or worship servi

ce, may be different from what you have found in other churches. However, there is always someone close by who is just waiting for an opportunity to answer a question or help you find your place in the bulletin. The beauty of our liturgy is that every element [e.g., Bible readings, standing, kneeling, rope belts, bells] has a specific meaning and the more people learn about “the why and how,” the richer their worship experiences become. On any given Sunday we typically have men in anything from jeans to suits, and women in anything from jeans to dresses. The exception is during the summer when jeans are often replaced with shorts! Our belief is that God cares about what’s in your heart, not the clothes you wear. We await you with open hearts when ever you decide to Come & See.

Katy will draw on her many years of working with the aging and their families as Director of Pastoral Care at St. Martin in the Pines Senior Living Community in Birmingham to address the topic of grief and loss. As usual we’ll begin the evening with homemade soups and sandwiches. There is no cost, and childcare is provided.
