What an amazing time of giving for Holiday Assistance 2025! We were able to serve 45 families (83 adults and 108 children). Each family left ( on a VERY snowy day) with food, toys for the kids, gloves, mittens, books, personal items, dairy items, potatoes and some very welcome beef. They also received a voucher for each child to be used at Cuba Pharmacy and a voucher for Giant. It’s quite a process!

As we enter this time of uncertainly of food availability and loss of SNAP, It seemed like it was a good idea to clarify the role of the Cuba Council of Churches Food Pantry. It is supported by all the Cuba Churches, housed in the First Baptist and Claudia Little is the director. Families who live in the Cuba Rushford School District can contact any church to get information to set up an appointment. Claudia is available through the number at Cuba First Baptist (585-968-1531). Clients are asked to answer a few questions at an appointment to determine their needs and eligibility. The CCC Food Pantry is designed to be an emergency food pantry - to fill that gap between jobs or during an unexpected time of need. Non -perishable items are available and vouchers for perishable items are given to be used at Cuba Giant. At this time, families are eligible for another voucher visit every 3 months. (As the climate changes, we may need to alter those guidelines). Visits to the pantry are by appointment only. Our goal is to serve the area. Those wishing to donate non perishables can do so by taking them to the Baptist Church -Tuesday - Saturday 9-12. please enter through the south st door - ring the bell if the door is locked. Financial donations can be sent to the First Baptist Church., 17 South St, Cuba. Checks payable to : Cuba Council of Churches with FOOD PANTRY in the memo line. Thank you in advance and please help spread the word that we are here to help.
