Our church is proud to support our community! This month we will be hosting a booth at Golden Valley Pride, connecting with our community and letting them know what St. James is all about. Golden Valley Pride will be held at Brookview Park on Saturday, June 13 from 12pm to 6pm. If you would like to volunteer for any booth times, there's a sign up on the bulletin board by the front doors at church.

A brief meeting for Pride Fest volunteers will be held after worship on Sunday, June 7.

In June we also support Avenues for Youth - a local organization that empowers youth to find their way out of homelessness. If you'd like to learn more about the work they do, find out here: https://avenuesforyouth.org/

Summer Worship Series
This summer in worship, we will be using a series from A Sanctified Art called Faces of Our Faith. Here is what A Sanctified Art says about the theme: “There are many heroes of the faith, people we admire and wish to be. However, there are even more ordinary people of faith– those doing what they can with what they have to make a difference. This summer, we’ll dig deep into the bold and untold stories of those often overlooked in our biblical narratives, hoping these characters remind us that we all play a role in shaping God’s story of redemptive grace.”

Who are the Faces of Our Faith who have inspired you in your own life? Could it be that we also are ordinary people who can and do make a difference? As a community, we will be creating a display in the narthex filled with Faces of Our Faith: Biblical characters, people who have inspired us, and our own faces: because together, as the community of St. James, we are Faces of Our Faith. Drawings and photos can be dropped off in the office.
