THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF BAD LEADERSHIP IN THE CHURCH: LET’S NOT CONTINUE IN THE SIN OF OUR ANCESTORS. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king of Judah, and he ruled in Jerusalem for fifty-five years. His mother was Hephzibah. 2 Following the disgusting practices of the nations whom the Lord had driven out of the land as his people advanced, Manasseh sinned against the Lord. 3 He rebuilt the pagan places of worship that his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he built altars for the worship of Baal and made an image of the goddess Asherah, as King Ahab of Israel had done. Manasseh also worshiped the stars. 4 He built pagan altars in the Temple, the place that the Lord had said was where he should be worshiped. 5 In the two courtyards of the Temple he built altars for the worship of the stars. 6 He sacrificed his son as a burnt offering. He practiced divination and magic and consulted fortunetellers and mediums. He sinned greatly against the Lord and stirred up his anger. 7 He placed the symbol of the goddess Asherah in the Temple, the place about which the Lord had said to David and his son Solomon: “Here in Jerusalem, in this Temple, is the place that I have chosen out of all the territory of the twelve tribes of Israel as the place where I am to be worshiped. 8 And if the people of Israel will obey all my commands and keep the whole Law that my servant Moses gave them, then I will not allow them to be driven out of the land that I gave to their ancestors.” 9 But the people of Judah did not obey the Lord, and Manasseh led them to commit even greater sins than those committed by the nations whom the Lord had driven out of the land as his people advanced. (2Kings 21:1-9, GNT). THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM, TO ALL WHO CALL OUT TO HIM IN TRUTH. Jesus: 21-24 Woman, I tell you that neither is so. Believe this: a new day is coming—in fact, it’s already here—when the importance will not be placed on the time and place of worship but on the truthful hearts of worshipers. You worship what you don’t know while we worship what we do know, for God’s salvation is coming through the Jews. The Father is spirit, and He is seeking followers whose worship is sourced in truth and deeply spiritual as well. Regardless of whether you are in Jerusalem or on this mountain, if you do not seek the Father, then you do not worship. (John 4:22-24, Voice). John 4:1-30; 2Kings 19-21. Heavenly Father, We give You Glory, We give You honor! “For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh….” Phil.3:3). Lord help us to love others as JESUS Christ loves us. We thank You for the many stories throughout scriptures, and how people come to understand Your Spirit. There is power in the name of Jesus. Lord, Forgive us for our sins. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

GOD CALLS BACK THE PAST: IT’S TIME TO GET RIGHT CHURCH! Song of Solomon: 15 That which is has already been, and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by [so that history repeats itself]. (Eccles.3:15, AMP). ….20 So I turned aside and let my heart despair over all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun. 21 For there is a man who has labored with wisdom and knowledge and skill, yet gives his legacy to one who has not labored for it. This too is vanity and a great evil. 22 For what does a man get from all his labor and from the striving and sorrow of his heart with which he labors under the sun? 23 For all his days his work is painful and sorrowful; even at night his mind does not rest. This too is vanity (worthless).(Eccles.2:20-23, AMP). TALK ABOUT ME AS MUCH AS YOU WANT, THE MORE YOU TALK, THE MORE I WILL STAY ON MY KNEES. Apostle Paul: 23-27 I’ve worked much harder, been jailed more often, beaten up more times than I can count, and at death’s door time after time. I’ve been flogged five times with the Jews’ thirty-nine lashes, beaten by Roman rods three times, pummeled with rocks once. I’ve been shipwrecked three times, and immersed in the open sea for a night and a day. In hard traveling year in and year out, I’ve had to ford rivers, fend off robbers, struggle with friends, struggle with foes. I’ve been at risk in the city, at risk in the country, endangered by desert sun and sea storm, and betrayed by those I thought were my brothers. I’ve known drudgery and hard labor, many a long and lonely night without sleep, many a missed meal, blasted by the cold, naked to the weather. 28-29 And that’s not the half of it, when you throw in the daily pressures and anxieties of all the churches. When someone gets to the end of his rope, I feel the desperation in my bones. When someone is duped into sin, an angry fire burns in my gut. 30-33 If I have to “brag” about myself, I’ll brag about the humiliations that make me like Jesus. The eternal and blessed God and Father of our Master Jesus knows I’m not lying. Remember the time I was in Damascus and the governor of King Aretas posted guards at the city gates to arrest me? I crawled through a window in the wall, was let down in a basket, and had to run for my life. (2Cor. 11:23-33, MSG). 2Cor. 11:16-33; Eccles. 1-3. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank You for this study reminding us history repeats itself: “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” (Eccles. 1:9, ESV). We thank You for John who reminds us “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea… (Rev. 21:1, 5). Lord, teach us to live according to Your will revealed completely in the life of Jesus. May we love, as Jesus loved us. Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

THE IMPORTANCE OF COMFORTING OTHERS IN TIMES OF DISTRESS. Apostle Paul: 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.(2Cor. 1:3-7, GW). THE REWARD THAT COMES FROM FOLLOWING WISDOM: 13 Happy is anyone who becomes wise, who comes to have understanding. 14 There is more profit in it than there is in silver; it is worth more to you than gold. 15 Wisdom is more valuable than jewels; nothing you could want can compare with it. 16 Wisdom offers you long life, as well as wealth and honor. 17 Wisdom can make your life pleasant and lead you safely through it. 18 Those who become wise are happy; wisdom will give them life. 19 The Lord created the earth by his wisdom; by his knowledge he set the sky in place. 20 His wisdom caused the rivers to flow and the clouds to give rain to the earth. 21 My child, hold on to your wisdom and insight. Never let them get away from you. 22 They will provide you with life—a pleasant and happy life. 23 You can go safely on your way and never even stumble. 24 You will not be afraid when you go to bed, and you will sleep soundly through the night. 25 You will not have to worry about sudden disasters, such as come on the wicked like a storm. 26 The Lord will keep you safe. He will not let you fall into a trap. (Prov. 3:13-26, GNT). 2Cor. 1; Prov. 3-5. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor and Praise to You! We thank You for this study revealing the importance of comforting others in times of distress. You make known the rewards that come from following Your teachings, the wonderful things You have done in times of the past, and to this present day. Lord we desire to do Your will in every situation we find ourselves in. Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

PUT ASIDE PRIDE: ANYTHING GOOD IN US IS FROM GOD. Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall. (Prov.16:18, HCSB) 14 After Amaziah came back from defeating the Edomites, he brought the gods of the people of Seir, set them up as his gods, bowed down to them, and burned sacrifices to them. 15 The Lord became angry with Amaziah. He sent him a prophet who asked him, “Why do you dedicate your life to serving the gods of those people? Those gods couldn’t save their own people from you.” 16 As he was talking, the king asked him, “Did we make you an adviser to the king? Stop! Do you want me to have you killed?” The prophet stopped. He said, “I know that God has decided to destroy you because you did this, but you refuse to listen to my advice.” (2Chron. 25:14-16, GW). TROUBLE WANT LAST ALWAYS: Jesus: 31 So you believe now? 32 Be aware that a time is coming when you will be scattered like seeds. You will return to your own way, and I will be left alone. But I will not be alone, because the Father will be with Me. 33 I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order. (John 16:31-33, Voice). John 16; 2Chron. 25-27. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank You for this study revealing “pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Prov.16:18). Anything good in us is from You Lord, we are nothing without You. “Who can understand his errors or omissions? Acquit me of hidden (unconscious, unintended) faults.” (Ps.19:12, AMP). Lord, Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

5 Then he said to them, “Levites, listen to me! Now consecrate (dedicate) yourselves and consecrate the house of the Lord, the God of your fathers, and get the filth [of idol worship] out of the Holy Place. 6 For our fathers have been unfaithful and have done evil in the sight of the Lord our God, and they have abandoned Him and have turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the Lord, and have turned their backs [toward Him]. 7 They have also closed the doors of the [temple] porch and put out the lamps, and they have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the Holy Place to the God of Israel. 8 Therefore the wrath of the Lord has been against Judah and Jerusalem, and He has made them an object of terror, of horror, and of hissing, just as you see with your own eyes. 9 For behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity because of this. 10 Now it is in my heart to make a covenant (solemn agreement) with the Lord God of Israel, so that His burning anger will turn away from us. 11 My sons, do not be negligent and careless now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in His presence, to attend to His service, and to be His ministers and burn incense.”

TO EVERYONE WHO TRUST GOD: GOD IS FAITHFUL! 4 After Jehoram had taken control of Judah, he had his brothers killed, as well as some of the nation's leaders. 5 He was 32 years old when he became king, and he ruled eight years from Jerusalem. 6 Jehoram married Ahab's daughter and followed the sinful example of Ahab's family and the other kings of Israel. He disobeyed the Lord by doing wrong, 7 but because the Lord had made a solemn promise to King David that someone from his family would always rule in Judah, he refused to wipe out David's descendants. (2 Chronicles 22:4-7, CEV). THE HOLY SPIRIT IS PROMISED. 15 Jesus said to his disciples: If you love me, you will do as I command. 16 Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. 17 The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don't see or know him. But you know the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you. 18 I won't leave you like orphans. I will come back to you. 19 In a little while the people of this world won't be able to see me, but you will see me. And because I live, you will live. 20 Then you will know I am one with the Father. You will know you are one with me, and I am one with you. 21 If you love me, you will do what I have said, and my Father will love you. I will also love you and show you what I am like. 22 The other Judas, not Judas Iscariot, then spoke up and asked, “Lord, what do you mean by saying that you will show us what you are like, but you will not show the people of this world?” 23 Jesus replied: If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them. 24 But anyone who doesn't love me, won't obey me. What they have heard me say doesn't really come from me, but from the Father who sent me. 25 I have told you these things while I am still with you. 26 But the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you. 27 I give you peace, the kind of peace only I can give. It isn't like the peace this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid. 28 You have already heard me say I am going and I will also come back to you. If you really love me, you should be glad I am going back to the Father, because he is greater than I am. 29 I am telling you this before I leave, so when it does happen, you will have faith in me. 30 I cannot speak with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. But he has no power over me. 31 I obey my Father, so everyone in the world might know that I love him. It is time for us to go now. (John 14:15-31, CEV). John 14; 2Chron. 21-22. Heavenly Father, All Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank You For this Bible study assuring us of Your presence in us and among us. Throughout Your teachings You warned us: “Didn’t my warnings and my laws, which I’ve commanded my servants the prophets to preach, finally catch up with your ancestors? Then your ancestors turned away from their sins and said, ‘The Lord of Armies has done to us what he had planned to do. He has dealt with us as our ways and deeds deserve.’ ” (Zech. 1:6, GW). “The Lord had warned Israel and Judah through every kind of prophet and seer, “Turn from your evil ways, and obey my commands and decrees as I commanded your ancestors in all my teachings, the commands I sent to you through my servants the prophets.” (2Kings17:13, GW). Lord forgive us, we continue to repeat the errors of the past. We desire not to be this way. Help us Lord! The Psalmist Prayer is our prayer: “ Sprinkle me with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. And after you have punished me, give me back my joy again. Don’t keep looking at my sins—erase them from your sight. Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Don’t toss me aside, banished forever from your presence. Don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to other sinners, and they—guilty like me—will repent and return to you. Don’t sentence me to death. O my God, you alone can rescue me. Then I will sing of your forgiveness, for my lips will be unsealed—oh, how I will praise you. (Ps. 51:7-15, TLB). Amen

STAND STRONG, UNMOVED BY THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD. The army got up early the next morning and headed out into the wilderness of Tekoa. Jehoshaphat stood up and addressed them. “Listen to me, you inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem,” he said. “Have faith in the Lord your God and you’ll be established! Have faith in his prophets and you’ll succeed!” 21 After he had consulted with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed some choir members to sing to the Lord and to praise him in sacred splendor as they marched out in front of the armed forces. They kept saying “Give thanks to the Lord, because his gracious love is eternal!” 22 Right on time, as they began to sing and praise, the Lord ambushed the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir who had attacked Judah, and they were defeated. 23 The Ammonites and Moabites attacked the inhabitants of Mount Seir, destroying them, and after they had finished with the inhabitants of Mount Seir, they worked on destroying one another! 24 When the army of Judah arrived at the remotest watchtower in the wilderness, they looked around at the invasion force, and to their surprise, there were dead bodies lying all around on the ground—not one had escaped! 25 Later on, when Jehoshaphat and his army arrived to collect the spoils of war, they discovered there were far more goods, garments, and other valuable items to collect than they could carry off in a single day. There was so much material that it took three days to finish their collection efforts. 26 Three days later, they assembled together in the Beracah Valley, where they blessed the Lord, which is why the name of that place is called Beracah Valley to this day. 27 Then they all returned with joy to Jerusalem, every soldier from Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat at the head of the procession, because the Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies. 28 They proceeded directly to the Lord’s Temple, carrying lyres, harps, and trumpets. 29 Fear of God seized all of the kingdoms in the surrounding territories when they heard that the Lord had battled Israel’s enemies. 30 As a result, Jehoshaphat’s kingdom enjoyed peace, because his God had provided rest for him all around. (2Chron. 20:20-30, ISV). IF THE LORD SERVES OTHERS, SO TOO SHOULD THOSE WHO FOLLOW GOD. Jesus: Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and truly, that is who I am. 14 So if your Lord and Teacher washes your feet, then you should wash one another’s feet. 15 I am your example; keep doing what I do. 16 I tell you the truth: a servant is not greater than the master. Those who are sent are not greater than the one who sends them. 17 If you know these things, and if you put them into practice, you will find happiness. (John13:12-17, Voice). John 13:21-38; 2Chron. 19-20. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank You for this study reminding us we must put our trust in You! The only thing we can control in our lives is our trust, and faith. Lord, Let nothing move us to take matters in our own hands. Help us to always give ourselves fully to the work You called us to, and we know that our labor in You Lord, is not in vain. Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

SOLD OUT! COMMITTED TO GOD IS THE ONLY WAY TO FLOURISH IN OUR WALK. Jehoshaphat succeeded his father Asa as king and strengthened his position against Israel. 2 He stationed troops in the fortified cities of Judah, in the Judean countryside, and in the cities which Asa had captured in the territory of Ephraim. 3 The Lord blessed Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father's early life and did not worship Baal. 4 He served his father's God, obeyed God's commands, and did not act the way the kings of Israel did. 5 The Lord gave Jehoshaphat firm control over the kingdom of Judah, and all the people brought him gifts, so that he became wealthy and highly honored. 6 He took pride in serving the Lord and destroyed all the pagan places of worship and the symbols of the goddess Asherah in Judah. 7 In the third year of his reign he sent out the following officials to teach in the cities of Judah: Benhail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah. 8 They were accompanied by nine Levites and two priests. The Levites were Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and the priests were Elishama and Jehoram. 9 They took the book of the Law of the Lord and went through all the towns of Judah, teaching it to the people. (2Chron. 17:1-9, GNT). TRUE HUMILITY AND SERVICE IS ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE BEFORE YOU! Jesus’ Example: 12 When Jesus finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and went back to the table. He asked, “Do you understand what I did for you? 13 You call me ‘Teacher.’ And you call me ‘Lord.’ And this is right, because that is what I am. 14 I am your Lord and Teacher. But I washed your feet. So you also should wash each other’s feet. 15 I did this as an example for you. So you should serve each other just as I served you. 16 Believe me, servants are not greater than their master. Those who are sent to do something are not greater than the one who sent them. 17 If you know these things, great blessings will be yours if you do them. (John13:12-17, ERV). John 13:1-20; 2Chron. 17-18. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank You for this study revealing the importance of being sold-out, that is, to be full, huddled, jammed-pack and loaded with carrying and spreading Your goodness. We thank You for the example of Jehoshaphat, and many others throughout the scriptures who sought to carry out Your will. We thank You for Jesus who completed Your will perfectly. Lord, we want to be like Jesus. Help us to loved as Jesus loved. “No one has greater love [nor stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.” (John 15:13, AMP). Lord, Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

BELIEVING IS EVERYTHING! 39 “Remove the stone,” Jesus said. Martha, the dead man’s sister, told Him, “Lord, he’s already decaying. It’s been four days.” 40 Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” 41 So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You heard Me. 42 I know that You always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing here I said this, so they may believe You sent Me.” 43 After He said this, He shouted with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out bound hand and foot with linen strips and with his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him and let him go.” (John 11:39-44, HCSB). WHO WE CHOOSE TO SPEND OUR TIME WITH INFLUENCES OUR CHOICES, AND WHO WE ARE. Rehoboam Listens To Fools: Rehoboam went to Shechem, where all the people of northern Israel had gathered to make him king. 2 When Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had gone to Egypt to escape from King Solomon, heard this news, he returned home. 3 The people of the northern tribes sent for him, and they all went together to Rehoboam and said to him, 4 “Your father placed heavy burdens on us. If you make these burdens lighter and make life easier for us, we will be your loyal subjects.” 5 Rehoboam replied, “Give me three days to consider the matter. Then come back.” So the people left. 6 King Rehoboam consulted the older men who had served as his father Solomon's advisers. “What answer do you advise me to give these people?” he asked. 7 They replied, “If you are kind to these people and try to please them by giving a considerate answer, they will always serve you loyally.” 8 But he ignored the advice of the older men and went instead to the young men who had grown up with him and who were now his advisers. 9 “What do you advise me to do?” he asked. “What shall I say to the people who are asking me to make their burdens lighter?” 10 They replied, “This is what you should tell them: ‘My little finger is thicker than my father's waist.’ 11 Tell them, ‘My father placed heavy burdens on you; I will make them even heavier. He beat you with whips; I'll flog you with bullwhips!’” 12 Three days later Jeroboam and all the people returned to King Rehoboam, as he had instructed them. 13 The king ignored the advice of the older men and spoke harshly to the people, 14 as the younger men had advised. He said, “My father placed heavy burdens on you; I will make them even heavier. He beat you with whips; I'll flog you with bullwhips!” 15 It was the will of the Lord God to bring about what he had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through the prophet Ahijah from Shiloh. This is why the king did not pay any attention to the people. 16 When the people saw that the king would not listen to them, they shouted, “Down with David and his family! What have they ever done for us? People of Israel, let's go home! Let Rehoboam look out for himself!” So the people of Israel rebelled, 17 leaving Rehoboam as king only of the people who lived in the territory of Judah. 18 Then King Rehoboam sent Adoniram, who was in charge of the forced labor, to go to the Israelites, but they stoned him to death. At this, Rehoboam hurriedly got in his chariot and escaped to Jerusalem. 19 Ever since that time the people of the northern kingdom of Israel have been in rebellion against the dynasty of David. (2 Chron. 10, GNT). (John 11:30-57; 2Chron. 10-12). Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank You for this study guiding us without a shadow, or a doubt BELIEVING IS EVERYTHING! All that exists is You, and belongs to You. Lord, give us a mindset to be about the business of caring for all the things, and most of all the people You have put in our lives. Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

HOW DO WE LIVE A FULFILLING LIFE WITH A PURPOSE? WE MUST FOCUS ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS, GOD. Jesus: 25 I am the resurrection and the source of all life; those who believe in Me will live even in death. 26 Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never truly die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25-26, Voice). 12 The Eternal appeared to Solomon one night. True God: As promised, I have chosen this temple as the place where My name will dwell and where I will receive sacrifices and prayer. I heard your prayer, and I will honor it. 13 If I close up the heavens and their rain and send any of the disasters you described—drought, locusts, pestilence—to ravish the land and people; 14 and My people (who are known by My name) humbly pray, follow My commandments, and abandon any actions or thoughts that might lead to further sinning, then I shall hear their prayers from My house in heaven, I shall forgive their sins, and I shall save their land from the disasters. 15 Now I will witness with My eyes and hear with My ears the prayers offered in this temple 16 because I have chosen and consecrated this temple as the eternal resting place for My reputation, My eyes, and My heart. 17 If you follow My ways as your father David did, do all that I ask you to do, and follow My laws and commands, 18 then I will establish your royal throne and keep My covenant with your father David: “One of your descendants will always be a king of Israel.” (2Chron.7:12-18, Voice). John 11:1-29; 2Chron. 7-9. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank you for this study reminding us to get serious, really serious! We must get down on our knees before You Lord, our Master. It’s the only way we will get on our feet, truly living, and never really dying. “For it is [not our strength, but it is] You God, who is effectively at work in us, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in us the longing and the ability to fulfill our purpose] for Your good pleasure.” (Phil.2:13). Lord, forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen

GOD IS FAITHFUL. 12 Solomon stood before the assembly of Israel in front of the altar of the Eternal and spread out his hands. 13 Then he stood on the bronze platform he had built in the center of the court (90-inches long, 90- inches wide, and 54-inches high), knelt down, spread out his hands toward heaven, 14 and prayed. Solomon: Eternal God of Israel, You are unparalleled among the gods of heaven and earth. You honor Your covenants with Your servants and give limitless loyal love to those who faithfully follow You. 15 Until now, You have honored Your covenant with my father David, Your servant and our beloved king, by doing all that You promised him. 16 Now that David is no longer king and I have replaced him, remember what You promised to my father David, Your servant: “As long as your descendants follow My laws as you have done, one of them will always be a king of Israel.” (2Chron.6:12-16, Voice). WHAT IT MEANS TO FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE FATHER: EMULATE, IMITATE, COPY. 25-30 Jesus answered, “I told you, but you don’t believe. Everything I have done has been authorized by my Father, actions that speak louder than words. You don’t believe because you’re not my sheep. My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand. The Father who put them under my care is so much greater than the Destroyer and Thief. No one could ever get them away from him. I and the Father are one heart and mind.” (John 10:25-30, MSG). John 10:24-42; 2Chron. 4-6. Heavenly Father, Glory, Honor, and Praise to You! We thank you for this study revealing the importance of knowing You by Your Words. Throughout the scriptures we see the actions of those who came to know You, The Father of all creation, like Abraham, and David, and many others. But there were many others who showed no desire to be a better person. The writer of the book Hebrews remind us: “We have much to say about this. But it is hard to explain because you are so slow to understand. You have had enough time so that by now you should be teachers. But you need someone to teach you again the first lessons of God’s message. You still need the teaching that is like milk. You are not ready for solid food. Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby. He knows nothing about right teaching. But solid food is for those who are grown up. They are mature enough to know the difference between good and evil.” (Heb.5:11-14, ICB). Lord, Forgive us for our wrongdoing. Let Your will be done in us as it is in Jesus. Amen
